Feed Sensible Seed to help satisfy your bird’s playful and fun-loving instincts and help create an interactive activity with each feeding. Sensible Seed adds enriching variety to your bird’s weekly food program and may be fed up to 30% of the total food your bird eats each week. Feed based on recommended amounts indicated below. Adjust amounts to ensure your bird’s optimum body condition. Keep fresh food and water available at all times. Discard uneaten food before each feeding. As with all foods, wash hands after use and food and water bowls before each feeding. Shake bag before each feeding to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
Amount to feed daily including all food and treats:
Conures, Caiques: 1/4 –1/2 Cup Daily
African Greys, Senegals, Amazons, Eclectus, Small Cockatoos: 1/2 Cup Daily
Store in a cool, dry place free of pests and insects. Gently push air from bag and reclose after each use.
I recently purchased Sensible diet from top quality company Zupreem through you, Chewy. Though the price was fairly reasonable considering I did not have to drive 5 miles to pick it up from the pet store, our future use depends on how much waste I consider to be acceptable. My 19 year old Goffin's Cockatoo Lulu will not eat the pumpkin seed and is selective when it comes to which color pelleted morsal she enjoys eating only to cast aside the purple and red ones using them as javlins to see just how far she can toss them out of her cage. Her favorite tasty morsals in the mix are the sunflower seeds which if given the chance, would be like a kid being asked which they would like to do, eat their spinach or eat a never ending ice cream bar of fudge and sprinkles. Hmm. Though a fun diet for many birds, for Lulu I must say sadly, no. I think more of this diet ended up on the floor them in my sweet girls tummy. I do love the ZUPREME brand of bird diet. I just felt like I spent more then a dozen dollars on confetti.
My African gray loves this food but I won’t buy it again because of the dried grapes. My dogs go after what my parrot drops out of her cage and grapes are deadly to dogs .
The bird loves the variety in the bag. I add this to his other bag of seeds.
Well I approved but the true test was whether my Amazon, Inca, approved it. Well she did!!!!
Our African Gray likes this seed mixed in her food
just started trying this for our African Grey Parrot and thought we would add this to the mix we purchase locally, all I can say is that we were trying to find something she try and maybe stop throwing this other stuff out of her dish, typical bird doing, can't say anything else as she is kind of a spoiled bird, think she is eating it as don't see much being tossed....:)
I use this food as a treat supplement for my 1 year old sun conure. She loves the variety within the package.
My dad has a very picky bird he don't eat a lot of seated food but when he was offered this food he's been eating it and enjoying it and doing good.
Since the pandemic started i have ordered supplies from chewy! Its been a life saver!!
This smells so good. It smells like coconut. It must taste pretty good too because my little Goffin Cockatoo loves it!
