Feeding Instructions
Feed an Adult 6 - 8 - lb cat or a 3 - lb kitten 1 can twice a day. Adjust as needed for your cat's age and activity level.
When switching your pet's diet, we recommend transitioning from the current diet to the new product over a 5-7 day period. Replace 15-20% of the current diet with the new product each day until they are fully transitioned. If you do not have any of your current formula to mix, reduce the amount of the new product fed for the first few days, feeding smaller more frequent meals and increase over time. As always, we also recommend checking with your veterinarian for the most accurate feeding recommendations for your pet. If your pet is more sensitive to change, please allow 10-14 days to fully transition onto the new formula.

What can you say?
I feed a colony of ferrel cats and this is the most economical way I can do it....every other day they get three cans mixed in with the dry food I put out for them. I've watched the price go up and up but it's still reasonable so I do what I can do for now
My cats hate this food. Will never buy again!
My 2 kitties are 3 years old. They typically eat the Friskies shreds, but they get bored from time to time so I give them the pate here and there. I've given them Friskies and Fancy Feast pate and they love it. I decided to give 9 lives a try. They won't even go near it. I don't blame them. The consistency and smell is disgusting compared to other companies' pate. I will never buy this again!

We feed eight "porch kitties". We use 9Lives because it is good quality and they like it. We have to use this less expensive food because all of our indoor only rescues are on prescription diets and medications for various conditions.
9 Lives Pate for free range felines
I feed some free range cats so look for the lowest price on canned food, prefer the pate style and mix it with dry food. 9 Lives is generally the best price. I try to purchase the variety pack pate but Chewy was out so ended up with lots of chicken and tuna with no complaints so far from my guests. I shop around and Chewy generally has the lowest price on a bulk purchase with free shipping.

My Clowder absolutely loves the flavor of this food.And, with the exception of their first few years (when I fed them on raw food) I have had them on both 9 Lives and Purina Friskies. Their coats are shiny, they have loads of energy at play and have great personalities. Each time I take them to the vets for their shots, the vet says they are some of the healthiest cats she's seen! :)
Price is right
I feed 12 cats and the majority of them like this. The price is better than most, also when fedex dented my cans they didn't pop open like the aluminum can do.
