Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Questions & Answers

9 Customer Questions

Why do the directions state that the dog must be dry or damp but NOT WET, but the video description from a Chewy representative states to dilute the dip in water and submerse dog into solution? That is literally the opposite.

Answer by ChewyMar 30, 2018
The dip should be applied to dry or damp (not wet) coat. When their coat is dry or damp, sponge or dip animal with diluted product making sure all areas are soaked to the skin.

If I use the flea dip on a cat to get rid of fleas, how long should I wait to use the spot on to keep the fleas away after the dip.

Answer by ChewyApr 22, 2018
Flea & tick collars or topical products can be used after bathing or dipping an animal although it is not recommended to use multiple pesticides simultaneously. It is recommended to wait at least 7 days after using the Dip to apply a topical treatment.

Will the Adams dip kill mange.

Answer by ChewySep 20, 2020
This solution is formulated to effectively kill and repel ticks, fleas, lice, gnats, mosquitoes and flies on canine companions and feline friends 12-weeks and older.

Will this start killing fleas right away? If not, how long will it take to kill fleas?

Answer by ChewyOct 15, 2023
This flea & tick pyrethrin pet dip immediately kills fleas and and ticks upon contact. Do not rinse off and repeat treatment every 7 days if necessary.

did not do the job

A waste of money as it did nothing and my dogs only had a few fleas on them. I had to resort to using Capstar which killed the fleas within hours

Don’t suggest buying

It was the smallest bottle ever, and it didn’t kill the fleas! If I could give a zero rating, I would! On upside, the star can be for Chewy, they got it here fast
