Instructions
How to open:
- Be sure tube is at bottom of pouch.
- Using scissors, cut the pouch across the top and remove tube.
How to apply:
- Remove one applicator tube from the package.
- Hold applicator tube in an upright position facing away from you and your pet’s face and eyes. Pull cap off tube.
- Turn the cap around and place other end of cap back on tube.
- Twist cap to break seal, then remove cap from tube.
- Part the hair on the neck at the base of the skull until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube to expel the entire contents directly on the skin. Do not get this product in your cat’s eyes, or allow your cat to ingest this product. The product is bitter tasting and salivation may occur for a short time if the cat licks the product immediately after treatment. Treatment at the base of the skull will minimize the opportunity for the cat to lick the product. Do not allow the product to run off.
- Discard empty tube.
- Under normal conditions this product is effective for a month. However, in cases of severe flea infestation, retreatment may be necessary earlier than 4 weeks. Do not retreat more often than once every 14 days for kittens or once every 7 days for small and large cats. After flea control is attained, return to a monthly retreatment schedule.

What is the difference between Advantage Topical Solution and Advantage II?

What is an insect growth regulator (IGR)?
An IGR, such as pyriproxyfen, inhibits the development of flea eggs. It also offers additional larvicidal properties when compared with imidacloprid alone.
How does pyriproxyfen work?
Pyriproxyfen mimics the juvenile growth hormone of fleas. This hormone prevents immature flea stages from molting into the next stage of the life cycle and keeps them from developing into adult fleas.
Why is it important to use a product with an IGR?
With an IGR as part of your flea control, the flea life cycle is disrupted at multiple stages through different active ingredients and modes of action. This is often referred to as integrated flea control (IFC). The addition of an IGR to Advantage II provides ovicidal, as well as additional larvicidal properties to target flea infestations and kill all flea life stages.
Is Advantage II waterproof?
Yes, there is no need to reapply the product after weekly swimming or a bath. For best results, use a non-detergent shampoo.

Worked amazingly
I ordered this for my ferret because he has been itching horribly and I noticed he has some big fleas on him. It arrived within two days of ordering and got rid of the itching almost entirely. I haven’t seen any fleas on him since. No second dose needed. Will order again if he gets fleas again.
Ferret flea meds
There aren't many flea treatments for ferrets out there. So I bought Advantage for ferrets. I used the first treatment, cleaned his bedding, etc. That was a few weeks ago. Then yesterday I found fleas on him again. So I used the second tube. I see no fleas on him right now but we'll see. I'm disappointed that it didn't work the first time and it is expensive for me. So hopefully second time's the charm.
Not working.
Have been using advantage on my many ferrets since 2012 and has always worked well, this year it hasn't worked at all. My ferrets keep scratching, not finding any relief even on the first day its applied.
Seems to work
While I have my worries about possible negative effects on my ferrets health.(Took one star off for that.) He was suffering from fleas and this worked.
it works!!
did not want to get to this point to use this kind of product but i exhausted all other natural efforts to get rid of his fleas. To my great surprise it didn't make him sick at all and after one day he had no fleas. I do recommend this product

Ferris was relieved overnight. As I was looking through his coat the next day not one flea. Additionally over the next couple of days he was scratching, but I believe these were the last of the fleas. The fleas are killed if he is bit. 5 days later and he is not stressing from fleas. I will have to keep supplies stocked so we don't have this occur again. The convenience was key. I had been to several pet store websites. The stores that sell ferrets didn't have any treatments in stock or even on their stock lists. One store advertised it on their website as "in stock". Since it was 45 mins away I called ahead to ensure the treatment was there. They did not have it stocked or in stock. I should have gone straight to Chewy instead of the local search. Didn't work
Would give zero stars if possible.. After following the instructions, and having to reapply 14 days after 1st dose, still dealing with fleas. My ferret stays indoors 24/7. We don't have carpet, vacuum every day, and change fleece daily to try and make sure that I was doing everything I could to help my ferret get relief from fleas, it hasn't helped one bit. Won't be repurchasing.
