My dog enjoys the food very much but the consistency is strange. It's all separated when you open with a liquid/fatty layer above and solid chunk below. mixing makes a mess typically. Once refrigerated for the second use, as I mix this with the dry food, it's somewhat solidified making it more manageable to dispense.

my dog has many food sensitivities. he is allergic to chicken, cannot have probiotics.i cook 4 turkeys a month, cook white rice ( cannot tolerate brown rice) and beef heart to supplement his diet. This was recommended to me by a veterinarian who has a nutrition and dermatology practice. the one thing i can depend on is that it is never the same. one batch was just plain ugly. the "broth" was black and the meat was tinged with black. i would not feed it. now, since the label says "bone broth" it no longer gels up when cold. that tells me a couple of things;that there is very little fat in it, and that there's lots of water... i am between a rock and a hard place. he cannot eat fish.....or chickenmy dog has many food sensitivities. he is allergic to chicken, cannot have probiotics.i cook 4 turkeys a month, cook white rice ( cannot tolerate brown rice) and beef heart to supplement his diet. This food is palatable and my dog appears to like it. I am disappointed in the packaging. Manufacturer accurately lists the contents net weight however the amount of food is less than the net weight and difference appears to be made up with a liquid. Although the food is good, the packaging causes the cost per serving to increase such that I don't feel it is economical.
Not a lot for the price

Was a little disappointed with this food. Can has more juice in it than solid food. Dog likes it fine but I wouldn't buy again. Not worth the price for what you get.
Single ingredient can food.

It is difficult to find food for our dachshund with many allergies. This food fits her needs. My disappointment was when I opened the can and most of it is juice and not meat.
Dog and Dog Mom love it

Love this dog food. Only negative is liquid separates but not a big deal as just mash it together a bit in bowl. Dog eats this greedily. I like feeding my girl real meat that I don’t have to prepare.

My 3 dogs are crazy about this food. I pour the juice over their kibbles and divide the meat. They lick their bowls until they shine. Usually each one has different eating habits, but not with this food.
Its a hit with the dogs

I had read some of the reviews on this about being 'watery' or a chunk of beef in water etc. Simple solution - I stir the can with a table knife before serving any of it. If you do that think of boiled hamburger and this is what you have - the dogs love it. Make putting powdered supplements in food really simple and the dogs do love this. I top dress kibble with this and there are absolutely no complaints - from dogs or humans!
More like regular dog food in broth

My concern with this product was the congealed fat that could be seen floating. I was also concerned about the broth, how much if any salt was added.

My dogs love this stuff. Problem is that sometimes the can is full, and sometimes it's only half full. Sometimes you get the loaf in gravy, sometimes you just get gravy, and sometimes you just get a really dry loaf. I purchased the pork, duck, salmon, and beef, and all the flavors are consistently inconsistent. You never know what you're going to get and this is not cheap dog food. What a shame.
