American Journey Grain-Free recipes are manufactured in Kansas, USA.

I switched to this food because it had NOT CHICKEN FAT, BI-PRODUCT OR MEAL!!! MY DOG HAS A CHICKEN ALLERGY. So the food I order gets discounted, the price goes up, and you add CRAP INGREDIENTS!! Probably miniature sized pieces too, right?? Like everyone ones an ankle biter. Can't afford food

Does your American journey food have meat byproducts? And is it cooked at extreme temperatures?

Has anyone reported if the Salmon and Sweet Potato brand helps with dry skin?

The food has changed

My 2 Huskys ate this for 2 years now problems, but the past 3 months its been looking & smelling off. This last bag I opened they ate it, 10 minutes both threw it

My 2 Huskys ate this for 2 years now problems, but the past 3 months its been looking & smelling off. This last bag I opened they ate it, 10 minutes both threw it all up. Opened the next bag, it was clumped together. It has made my dogs sick. I left ALL p PURINA products because they did this. Now This company is doing it. Charge $$$$$ for junk food. Shameful!

I was told about this food when I brought Draco home from my daughter because I wanted to give him something good for him. I discovered that he liked this brand

I was told about this food when I brought Draco home from my daughter because I wanted to give him something good for him. I discovered that he liked this brand so well that if I ran out he wouldn't hardly eat anything else. He is 6 now and he still loves it, I also will from time to time mix things like pumpkin and yogurt and or kefir milk in with his food and I find that what ever I mix with this it keeps it consistency and doesn't get soggy right away. Would recommend and will not change anytime soon. I have to add that he is a GSD and it has also helps keeps his weight to where it needs to be.

Circe Loves It

I've been a dog owner all my life and have used all different types and brands of dog food - kibble, wet food, fresh food, and even homemade. I do really love the

I've been a dog owner all my life and have used all different types and brands of dog food - kibble, wet food, fresh food, and even homemade. I do really love the fresh food like Just Food For Dogs, but it can get extremely pricey. What I've found works best for both my budget and my dog's health and enjoyment is to feed mostly kibble with a little bit of the JFFD fresh frozen food mixed in. We've been using the American Journey Salmon & Sweet Potato recipe for about a year and a half now and it's great! Circe definitely loves it - I often use the kibble as training treats for her and for mental enrichment activities (I put it in snuffle mats or toss a small handful in the grass and have her do nose work by searching for it) and she is always gets super excited for our training exercises because she knows she's going to get yummy rewards :) Besides the fact that it is a great price and Circe enjoys the taste, she's also in wonderful health and has never had any stomach or weight issues since using this brand.

You know that it has real salmon in it because it smells like salmon, and it should because salmon is the first listed ingredient. Second ingredient is another

You know that it has real salmon in it because it smells like salmon, and it should because salmon is the first listed ingredient. Second ingredient is another type of fish. I believe it’s a healthy food because my dogs are healthy looking and their coats are really pretty and shiny. I had first purchased the one with salmon, veggies and brown rice, the next time the salmon and sweet potato. I mixed them together and they get a little of both varieties.

Think Chewy went with something cheaper and it’s not working. The color of the food has changed from a chocolate color to more of a tan color. My dog knew right away. I’ve been using this fairly expensive dog food for a few years now. He ate the first few bowls but starting not finishing and now not eating it at all. I have a 90 lb chocolate lab who is food driven. So I knew something was wrong. Chewy you need to correct this!! This is definitely not the same formula from before. I’m going back to the pet store I used to use!

One should always transition food for a dog and they did not provide a heads up to do this. I have purchased this not so cheap dog food on auto ship for years and am extremely unhappy. This is poor business practice for a food made for Chewy where they have control.
