Dogs like for their pills
By lambaj on Feb 16, 2021
I buy pate canned food for giving pills my dogs. They love this flavor. I don’t like the texture quite as much as American Journey duck formula. Lamb is a little more pasty. But, it gets the job done and the dogs love it so no complaints here!

canned food
By chocolatelabs on Feb 9, 2021
Never used canned food before but as my labs age I have taken to add it to their food. They appear to enjoy it and have had no stomach issues! I will continue to use it since it has been only a week since I started with this food.

He likes it!!
By Lucy on Feb 15, 2021
My sweet lab mix has rejected any wet food I mix with his kibble. He would only eat if I added cooked meat. Until now! He loves this food and finishes his entire meal every day. It's worth the expense.

Excellent!
By Tonycorgi on Jan 9, 2021
I purchased this for my finicky Corgi ... so glad I did. He has allergy and itchy skin issues and this food has no chicken products in it! I was amazed at how many dog foods that a consumer would assume , has no chicken product; BUT THEY DO ! My Tony loves is snd his stools are much better, also

What is the heavenly smell ?
By Northwoods on Dec 6, 2020
So I have a super picky eater. He LOVES this food. I only use a few ounces twice a day to make sure that he has food in his stomach. I use dry food for his main diet, I want him to have grains also. Since he goes on hunger strikes with the dry this ensures he has something to stop the bile vomits from starving himself. He never even thinks about refusing this food. I like the ingredients and since he is chicken sensitive this works out perfect. Also it smells ok and the pate isn't gross so I don't mine dealing with it. Highly recommend for those picky eaters.

Dogs Love It! Minimal Potentially Toxic Ingredients.
By DogMa on Dec 15, 2020
I have a pack of toy poodles who are now all senior citizens. I add this to their small breed dry kibble to make it easier to eat as they don't have many teeth left, and also to make the food more palatable as they sometimes get finicky. They are definitely more enthusiastic with this canned food in their kibble! Over a year ago I switched my dogs off grain free kibble because of the health scare about the potentially toxic effects of many of the ingredients in grain free food such as peas, lentils and potatoes. It makes no sense, if you went grain free because a canine's natural diet does not include grains, well, it does not include peas, lentils, legumes or potatoes either! The vegetable protein I have a pack of toy poodles who are now all senior citizens. The vegetable protein from peas and legumes used as a cheap filler while raising the minimum protein content was thought to cause an amino acid deficiency (taurine) that could cause heart damage. Why they can't make a dog food that is just animal meat and rice is beyond me, I know many people who cook chicken and rice for their dogs and they do very well, but you also need to have the essential vitamins and minerals, and be willing to become a dog chef. Unfortunately I lost one of my dogs while on the grain free diet, and despite spending thousands of dollars in a desperate attempt to save her at a top specialty vet hospital in NYC, we lost her. I am still devastated, she was the most beautiful soul and it was so unexpected. The vets didn't know exactly what was the cause so I can't blame grain free food with certainty, but I didn't want to take any chances with the rest of my pack. So now I feed them Hill's Science Diet Adult 7+ Small Bites dry food, as this brand was recommended by a friend whose dad is a vet and their dog lived to 18 on Hill's. With the American Journey Limited Ingredient Diet Lamb & Sweet Potato Recipe Grain-Free Canned Dog Food mixed in. Yes, it contains sweet potatoes, but at least no peas or legumes, it seems like there is no perfect dog food. I do my best. I regularly give my dogs some chicken, beef or pork from my own plate just to make sure they are getting enough animal protein in their diet. No complaints there! :) Thank goodness they are very small dogs or I'd wind up protein deficient myself.
