Top Notch Grain Free Minced Canned Cat Food
I decided to search for Top Notch canned cat food for senior cats, high in protein and meat based ingredients as opposed to fillers, grains, corn, soy, etc. As an agin feline, I want to make sure she's well taken care of in evert department; my cat did NOT hesitate to dig right in; she loves it - no issues with the transition. I am thankful, and happy with my decision, and will continue to buy in the future. THANKS CHEWY! We are happy, healthy customers!
Our picky boy
Auggie is a big boy with sensitive stomach issues and picky palate. We had almost exhausted trying everything on the market before trying American Journey grain free chicken. He not only loves it, but also tolerates it without stomach upset, and it fits our budget. Haven't had any "clean up" since using this product. We love it as much as he does.
Changed something
My cats have been eating AJ for years. Now they walk away. Turkey is the same way. Very sad because ingredients are good and it’s priced right, the reason for two stars instead of one. I have tried three times ordering and they sniff and walk off, giving me a look. What did you change and why??
My Cats Love This Wet Food
My husband and I adopted two beautiful sisters in Oct 2021. They are our daughters and we adore them and have tried several expensive top-tier brands. We decided to try American Journey mixed poultry wet cat food. Well, what a game changer - our daughters LOVE minced chicken with gravy. Their eating bowls are licked clean after every meal. If your cats like minced meat with gravy, try this series. You will not regret it.
Our Cats Like this Food
We've been giving our cats this food for at least a couple of years. It is a chewy.com brand. The ingredients are healthy and our cats don't seem to tire of it. We have started mixing in a small can of the Weruva Paw Lickin' Chicken with this just for variety and they seem to like that a lot. Sometimes there are supply issues these days so it can be more challenging to get when you need it so we usually order a couple of cases when it's in stock.
My cats are crazy for this. I like the price.
We have been using Wellness for a long time but decided to switch due to the cost. This seemed like a good mix of price/ingredients, so I got a case to try and transition my two cats slowly so as not to cause any stomach upset. My plan was upended, however, because both of my cats like the American Journey so much that after a day they now refuse to eat Wellness. They will even pick out the chunks of AJ if I mix it with the W pate. So we went 100% American Journey, and the cats seem more excited for mealtimes now. They eat all of it too, no more half eaten plates of food going into the trash. Extremely pleased.
Really good
I been buying American Journey for a few years now and the cats love it. Although lately I been getting some cans that are very watery or soupy. Nevertheless, the cats really enjoy it and would recommend this brand.
It's okay...
We just recently adopted a new cat after losing our two 19-year old girls late last year to CKD and related health issues. Both were somewhat picky eaters but always enjoyed new varieties and gobbled them up. Luna, our new girl, however, isn't a big wet food lover and I've spent hours at the stores and online seeking good quality foods that will appease her palate. Both the minced chicken and the minced tuna and salmon work out better than other brands I've tried, but she still leaves a fair share in her bowl, even when I reduce the amount! Unfortunately for me, I bet on her liking these and now have two cases to get through. Still not completely out of options to satisfy her with these, though. I've started getting a bit more creative in how I serve them (warmed with a teaspoon of water to make a thinner sauce; this plus serving it over her kibble; adding low sodium chicken broth, instead of water, for example). I'm thinking of getting some bone broth, which might also help to keep her interested in the food. If there are other suggestions, I'd love to know! She loves salmon by itself, but most brands of salmon only are more expensive than other varieties. Still, I'll keep at it!
The cat loves it!
American Journey is an excellent quality cat food that my little one enjoys. It’s full of healthy ingredients, and the minced formula suits her. Wonderful variety, too, and it gets here quickly. Thank you, Chewy!

She Loves it! The first wet food she actually eats. I have tried many many other brands including BFF and she only take to American Journey. I bought this brand because they were out of Science Diet wet which, I was going to give a try seeing as she likes the Science Diet dry food.
