Disappointing
The kibble is disappointingly small. It is only very slightly bigger than the regular. I guess Barleywhine likes it, but she doesn't bother with chewing. Maybe Rachael Ray Big Life will be back in stock, or I will try something else next time.
Happy, Healthy Doggies
I’ve been using American Journey for the last few years with my husky, Koda. He really likes it and I would recommend it to my dog lover friends. We just added two new puppies to our family which are his baby brother and baby sister, Kenai and Katara. I will be integrating this American Journey into the dry puppy food that they are on. Wish me luck!
Good Stuff
I think we got the wrong bag of the Salmon formula -- I ordered the Large breed salmon, brown rice, and vegetables recipe and received that recipe but for Active Life -- I assume there won't be a problem switching from the Active Life large breed to the regular large breed so hopefully no problems -- captain seems to really like the recipe and we will order another bag of the regular large breed salmon, brown rice and vegetables --
Healthy Dog Food
I adopted Cardi in February and she had white flakes ( dandruff), so I changed her food to a salmon based diet. Her coat is shiny and she is very healthy, thanks to American Journey Salmon, Brown Rice and Vegetables recipe.
Great Dane use
My Great dane loves this food. His blue coat is shining. He has a chicken allergy, and this food is our choice. He is 1 year old, 130lbs, and has been in this food 9 months. Thank you

Good food poorly packaged
My dog does well on this food but the bag is flimsy and rips open in the delivery box. The bag needs to be stronger or there needs to be more cushioning.
Healthy food good value
I am very pleased with American Journey Active Life Large Breed Dog Food. It is full of the nutrients needed for large breed dogs and my dogs absolutely love it. As a bonus, I find it to be a very good value compared to other large breed dog foods. So I will stick with American Journey! Their favorite flavor is the salmon, rice and veggies.
