Small breed size ignored.
American Journey changed pkg and never mentioned the size of the kibble. I have 3 small Chihuahuas, 2 seniors, they cannot handle the size. The old kibble size was perfect for small breed, the new... not so much as advertised for all adult dogs. I'm sitting here with a 28 lb bag because you were out of the smaller bags. Very disappointed, Chewy.
Chewy is awesome. Both my dogs Love The American Journey Dog Food. My Shorky Poo was on Kidney Care Dog food. Once trying this she won't eat the other. Fast Service. I will start Auto Delivery AFTER I find out how fast these little dogs go thru a 24 lb bag. They are both like 5 lbs each.
Formula changed
My sweet golden used to love this food so much and we were so happy to find something that seemed healthy and affordable. However, ever since the new packaging, our dog will no longer eat it. She is the least picky eater ever and will eat anything! I won’t buy this brand anymore unless they go back to the old formula. We have a giant 23lb bag now wasted.
Stopped the itch
I switched to American Journey for it's ingredients and I was looking for a chicken free food. My dog was very itchy and since I switched to this food he very rarely scratches. He likes the food and I like he is more comfortable.
Maybe picky dog?
My dog will not really eat this food so I'm glad I at least bought a small bag of it. I've been doing a slow transition and he just picks out the new kibble -this food- and only eats his old kibble even after a week of transitioning.
Wierd outcome
Mu bull terrier was doing okay for the first few weeks but over time developed wierd scab like rashes. I investigated his bedding, the backyard, bathed and treated for allergies but this dog food says its grain free but my grain-free dog is having adverse effects to this brand. Back to blue Buffalo.
Rusty doesn't like it !
I personally don't like the smell I tried to mask it with add-ons or cut into smaller pieces to blend in with his kibble but Rusty will masterfully pick it out and set aside.
Bag issues need resolution
I’ve had several bags of this food that when tearing the top of to open ends up ruling down the front of the bag leaving food on the floor to clean up and no bag to store the food in. The negative portion of my review is for the product bag only as Newman likes the food and it’s resolved his itching / allergy problems.

Our little girl is one year old and we have been trying to find better food that she would like. Got a small bag to try today and after the first bite my pup was begging for more. She did the paw up and the dance and the I wuv you bark. Called chewy back to order the 48 lb bag. If she happy we are happy.
