American Journey Salmon & Sweet Potato Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food

I've been feeding my dog this food for about a year now, and I've loved it. Previously I was feeding Canidae but thats $20 more per bag than this food. I compared everything on dogfoodadvisor and decided that for the cost difference they were similar enough to try the switch. I haven't been disappointed. My dog also has allergies, he always broke out in hot spots. He also had 2 intestinal surgeries and in one had 6 inches of his intestines removed so he has a pretty sensitive stomach. Just about everything new gives him the runs, but I've had no trouble with this food, and for my 50lb husky, one 24 lb bag can last about 2 months. I recently switched my 3 dogs to this brand. I always fed them box store dog food, i.e. Purina One, Iams, etc. After visiting the Dog Food Advisor website, I found that I was feeding them terrible food. This brand has a 5 star rating on Dog Food Advisor. One of the greatest things about this food, besides the ingredients, is that it's affordable! My senior would often skip meals, I thought maybe it was just because she was old and didn't feel like eating, as her vet visits showed she was healthy, just getting up in age. Now that I've got them on this food, she never misses a meal!

My shih-tzu and Jack Russell have always preferred canned food and I've had to switch to a grain free limited diet food for my shih-tzu so because of cost of the can food I decided to add this kibble to their canned and OMG they loved it! I'm also using the limited ingredient diet lamb wet food but they finished their plates so fast tonight I decided to give them each a little more kibble and they gobbled it up. Crazy because I had originally put my allergic shih-tzu on Taste of the Wild canned bison and he wasn't crazy about the taste - even though it's a wonderful food ingredient wise. So happy this brand seems to be working. Can't beat the price

I recently tried this brand because it is cheaper than Blue Buffalo, and we've seen positive results so we'll keep trying it. I had a hard time managing my 2 year old weimaraner's weight and couldn't figure out why, and I thought she was just a gassy dog. After trying this brand for one month her pudge is beginning to go away and she's not as gassy. The only thing I've changed is her food brand. She prefers the taste of Blue Buffalo, but I figure that's like a child preferring to eat ice cream for dinner every night. I'll try the other flavors to see if she likes those better, but seems like we're sticking with American Journey for now.

We found out some bad things blue buffalo contained so we decided so switch both our dogs over to this. Our Boxer mix was getting Taste of the Wild, although it is a great food and i definatly recommend, we wanted both our dogs on the same diet if possible. My lab is currently finishing the rest of the blue buffalo and he will be starting on this. My boxer mix is already started on this and her coat is nicer and she seems more active. We also save about $20 a month and the grain free bags are rated higher than both blue and TOTW on dog food advisor! Highly recommend this food

This food is expensive but I like that it’s grain free and I can get it shipped straight to my house with no hassle. My dog tends to get itchy skin whenever I try regular dog food so grain free is the way to go for us. He’s kind of picky with foods but he ate this food right away and really seems to like it. I think the salmon and oiliness of this food has helped his skin and coat. I just love the convenience of having it shipped. It’s one less thing I need to go shopping for and lug into the house with 3 small kids in tow. It just makes my life a little easier and my dog loves the food.

Their coats, though, have gone to pot. I have been telling my clients exactly that. Just yesterday I told a new client, who sounded like a college student, that American Journey was a "medium priced' dog food and for the money works, or if your dog has allergies. I have been seeing several of my clients bringing dogs in for training, with gorgeous coats. They are all on Fromm. The owners are buying their food from little specialty stores and paying a lot. I know this food is nutritious, but I add "delicious" to my headline for my dog, who loves this food!! Our German shepherd can be so picky when we feed him. I constantly try different brands and flavors. Well, I hit jackpot when I purchased this food. He loves it. I normally add canned food to it, but if he's super hungry, I'll give him this food dry in his bowl and he scarfs it!! So thank you to American Journey from my dog and me.

We were using Blue Buffalo Basics Grain Free Salmon and Sweet Potato. We were looking a little less expensive and a bigger bag for Airedale Terrier. He has skin allergies, and we believe he might be allergic to chicken. Since we were low on food, my husband order this on whem. I was more than extremely disappointed when I saw the second ingredient on this product was CHICKEN meal. Blue Buffalo Basics Limited Ingredient doesn't have any chicken in their products. We're gonna to TRY this bag with the hope he doesn't have an allergic reaction.

This is a new food and new brand for our dog. He had stopped eating his regular food that he had been eating for years. My sister and I both switched our dogs to American Journey Salmon & Sweet Potato Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food at the same time and both of our dogs love it! This dog food actually smells good, which is a surprise! I am waiting to see how it affects his coat and his overall health over time.
