American Natural Premium (ANP) was founded in Wisconsin in 1998. According to founders Gene Large and Jennifer Burlo, they wanted to provide high quality high quality pet food at an affordable price. According to the company, ANP focuses on three main criteria: quality, taste, and price. ANP currently makes nine kibbles for dogs (including three grain free foods); several treats and biscuits; and dry cat food. Company headquarters are located in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

Ingredients ok, kibble size sucks.

This brand seems to have quality ingredients, but the kibble size is more suitable for a Chihuahua rather than a Large breed dog. These foods should not be labeled for large breed and if they are they need to start uploading photos of the actual size of the kibble. This is the second time I ordered what I thought was high quality food for my large breed when in reality the kibble was way smaller than it should be for large breed.. either the listing was published wrong or the search platform on chewy isn't accurate enough.

Somewhat expensive.

Even thou it cost a lot more, my dog loves it. Also tends to digest more of it.

Loves it!!!

My 70lb Boxer loves this food. He u be very particular about his food. We took him on a road trip to my daughters house and this is what she feeds her 2 dogs. Much to my surprise, my dog loves it. Won’t switch again.

Great food

Great food, my dog enjoys it. However, Chewy charges quite a lot more than my local stores do for this same product in a 30lb bag. Maybe it's because I live in Wisconsin/ANP is a 'local' company for me, but I can get a 30lb bag at a specialty dog-food store here which specializes in selling grain-free dog foods for $12 less per 30lb bag. That's a pretty significant price difference.

Picky Eater

My dog had gotten to the point where he would not eat his food. I tried several different brands to no avail. My daughter came in with her dog and had this brand with her. She gave him some and he loved it! I immediately set up on the auto-ship to make it easier on me as well. He has been eating it for about three weeks now and still loves it.

Dog approved food!

I can't tell you the number of foods we have been through. My lab mix has allergies and skin issues and we have a Rottweiler mix who's a picky eater. To eliminate allergens I've been looking for a food without alfalfa, chicken, corn, wheat, or soy. Yeah American Natural Premium duck and pork!!!! Right away both dogs ate this food without any trouble. Time will tell if it helps with allergies.

This product is simply outstanding!

I recently adopted a 2 year old catahoula leopard girl and found out quickly that she has a sensitive tummy. After researching online for the best, grain free dog foods I found this one! She absolutely loves it and we have had no problems since we switched her dog food!
