How high is the heat used in making this kibble? Concerned about the loss of nutrition and carcinogins. Thank you.

Annamaet foods are extruded and not baked. Annamaet uses the highest quality ingredients and our plant performs a slower cook at a lower temperature. As you are probably aware, animal proteins are most digestible in a raw state so we don't want to over cook them or at a temperature that is too high. Starches on the other hand are most digestible to the dog when cooked. So, a slow cook at a lower temperature maximizes the digestibility of both. Cooking temperature is 230 degrees Fahrenheit.

Good Eating

Sheepadoodle-3yrs old loves this food! She does well, has lots of energy & firm bms. I could not ask for better. Recommended to me by a friend when we graduated UP from “puppy chow” (another brand).

JoJo's favorite Annamaet!

I did research and found Annamaet is made in USA and their customer service is outstanding. I order from chewy and have not had issues except making sure product is in stock. Our dog eats Annamaet large breed. She gets the fish mixed in and absolutely loves it. Thanks Chewy for offering this great food.

Annamaet Grain-Free Sustain Formula Dry Dog

We have been buying this for awhile and our little guy loved it. Unfortunately after many trips to the Vets apparently our little guy cannot eat this anymore , So we are going to try Annamaet lean dog food. Sadly we actually just bought a big bag we haven't even open yet :(

Great for Older Dogs

We discovered Anamet at a Pet Expo when our 12 year old dog was declining in health. Based on the discussion with the owners, we tried Sustain. Her coat became healthier and her pep improved almost immediately! She’s 15 and still going strong. Plus, with this food’s higher digestible content we were able to reduce the quantity of food and poop as a bonus so it ended up being only a little more pricey per day since she needs less. We now use it for ALL our dogs!

Both dogs love it good for all ages.

Our shepherd mix breed girls are 3 yrs and 8 yrs old with different activity levels and this keeps them both healthy and energetic. At 8 yrs old Lexi has had improvement in her activity level with Sustain and its added ingredients to help with joint mobility and she even lost some weight with the increased activity and a proper diet. Princess is highly energetic and Sustain helps her keep that healthy lean muscle mass. Both dogs love the taste too. I am very impressed with Annameat's attention to quality ingredients and production standards and have been feeding both girls an Annamaet diet for 3 years I am very pleased with the company.

Great for sensitive/allergic tummies

Struggled with soft stools with my mini Goldendoodle. Seemed to be picky as well but I think he was picky bc eating made his tummy hurt. Once we switched to this food, he’s been eating and pooping regularly. Truly a game changer. Highly recommend if your stuck in a bad place with your dog and any digestive issues. Give it a week or 2 to clear everything up and don’t keep changing. Stick with this!

I wanted to like this but...

My dogs were on the Annamaet puppy chow and when it was time to change to the adult brand, I tried this one because it looked like the best one. However, they BOTH have had nothing but diarrhea since the switch. Needless to say, I am looking for an alternative.

Have not yet rotated food to this product.

One of my GSDs has Pannus with teary eyes.After a week on FORZA 10 her eyes showed VERY SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT! I yse FORZA 10 halfnhalf with regular kibbles. She also has vet RX eye drops however FORZA10 has made so much difference! AMAZING!IT WAS UNEXPECTED.... and she loves the food! I'm certain both GSDs will like Sustain, too. Rotating proteins helps prevent allergies and food boredom.

My dog won't eat it

Bought it based on the great reviews, but unfortunately my 15lb dog that loves fish would not eat the kibbles. He tried but spit it out, and would not go near since. Very disappointing.
