Annamaet foods are extruded and not baked. Annamaet uses the highest quality ingredients and our plant performs a slower cook at a lower temperature. As you are probably aware, animal proteins are most digestible in a raw state so we don't want to over cook them or at a temperature that is too high. Starches on the other hand are most digestible to the dog when cooked. So, a slow cook at a lower temperature maximizes the digestibility of both. Cooking temperature is 230 degrees Fahrenheit.
