Help support your dog’s gum health and stop plaque and tartar before they start with Ark Naturals Protection+ Brushless Toothpaste 5-in-1 Dental Chews Dog Treats! These innovative chews are powered by astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant found in nature. This ingredient stops plaque and tartar before they can even begin boosting the antibody, immunoglobulin A (lgA) in the saliva, therefore creating a protective barrier on your buddy’s teeth. The 5-in-1 dental chews are formulated with a toothpaste center with active ingredients, along with natural breath fresheners including clove, cinnamon and vanilla.

The "denta-meter" on the package shows this as being a medium but these chews are most definitely hard. When I first gave my pup this dental chew and she took the first bite, I thought she had broken a tooth it was so loud. As she continued to eat it, it did not soften up and I ended up taking it away from her. This dense of a chew should not be labeled for medium size (20-40 lbs) dogs. Perhaps an extra-large dog like a great dane or mastiff would be ok but Ark Naturals still needs to change the hardiness scale from medium to hard. I DON'T recommend this chew (there are many other brands that are much better).
These are very hard and our more senior dog while can chew them seems to struggle a bit and afraid he will hurt his teeth. I have stopped giving them and would not order again.
I give a dental stick to my dogs each morning, this one in particular I’m not sure I’m about. He liked it, as he’s a lab and loves everything, but that evening during his walk he went number 2 and as I’m cleaning it up it had red in his stools, at first I thought on my gosh he has blood in his stools but then remembered he ate one of those sticks that morning. I haven’t given him one since then and monitored his stool for the next week to make sure and it was that treat. So does it have red dye in it?
My 20lb terrier loves these. I’m glad they are good for his teeth
Wow, what a product. It works! My dog like it, it helps keep his teeth clean. We are happy.
Gives my dog gas and then body odor for the next three or more days Why?
My dog is not particularly fond of the dental chews available but she ate this one fairly quick and she likes this a bit more. Good alternative to the other ARK dental chew which she also likes.
*I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion* These were just okay. They smelt truly awful. My dogs enjoyed eating them though. I did notice mild improvements in my dog's teeth, but I've purchased dental chews that I thought were much better than these. I would work on improving the smell on these and making them a little bit firmer so that they last longer and scrape plaque better.
We have a mini poodle and she’s VERY picky on what kind of treats we feed her. Because these were rather large we cut them up into pieces and she then would eat them all up! But she always likes her treats cut up into smaller bite size pieces. So if your dog isn’t as picky as ours these are great, I think she loves the flavor and they’re good for their teeth which is a plus.
*I received these for free to try for my own opinion* First let me say my dog is not really a “treat” dog. He would much rather play with his ball than care about treats at all. However, he absolutely loved these. He would sit and patiently wait at the cabinet for a treat. I tried giving him a different treat at one point and he just held his nose up til I gave him one of these lol! I would highly recommend them. They must taste good and I felt like they helped out his teeth and they seemed healthy for him too!
