It definitely is better for dust control. I noticed that right away, and the tracking seems minimal compared to other litter. Some reviews say the odor control is not good but I can't speak to that because I keep my boxes on a screened back porch so they are not in the house and have plenty of ventilation, and I am not smelling anything unusual. I really don't think the odor control is any different. I was previously using the Frisco unscented and Arm & Hammer unscented clumping. I like this better.
We have been searching for a litter with little to no dust for years, and we have finally found it! There is no dust when pouring and scooping this litter. It is lightly scented, and seems to perform very similarly to Arm & Hammer Slide litter. The only difference I have noticed is the Slide has a slightly stronger scent. This litter has a sandy consistency, unlike most other clay litters that have bigger rocky pieces along with fine dust. It doesn't seem to track quite as much as other litters, but we do find some sand around the litter boxes. The good news is that the sand is easier to vacuum up than the rocky clay pieces.
Although I haven't opened the new box of Platinum Cloud Control litter yet I Have used the regular cloud control before and find it Perfect. This one Truly has No Dusty Clouds and also No Sweet Smells! I never thought Id be able to ever find the Right litter! You Must give this one a Try! When I open the new Box of Arm and Hammer Platinum Litter I will let you know how that one is.
Two cats, four litter boxes (basement/attic/main floor) This litter is weirdly moist and while it is fairly effective at clumping, it also sticks to paws. Not noticeably better about dust. Within a day or two (scooped once daily/total clean weekly) the smell drifts into rooms where there aren't even boxes- yuck! I happily went back to the cheap stuff which works and smells better, and would not recommend this product to anyone.
Best litter for no dust. Used this for a while then I tried venturing out to a couple different litters that were cheaper. The dust was so bad that my cat showed her dislike by pooping outside of the box. Switched back and we are much happier. Best litter I’ve ever used.
This litter definitely has way less dust, but WOW, it does not lock in smell at all. I was really looking forward to this because some of the other litters we used seemingly changed their formulas and produced dust clouds, but this one has not met expectations.
Happy that this litter isn't dusty, but it's heavy, and expensive - makes doughy clumps. The fragrance of the litter box after a few days (and it's cleaned 2X a day) - sorta like poo in a lavender field. So onward to search for the perfect cat litter that doesn't break the bank.
This is fantastic! It does exactly what it says it will do. There is no dust or layer of haze when you pour it. My sister has allergies and I told her about this and she love it too. We both have a few cats and this works great for them all. The hardest thing to do is to find it in the stores around here. They are always out of it. I guess that's why I started buying it at Chewy. I would recommend this litter to anyone that has allergies or anyone that just does not want to have to dust every few hours. Great litter!!!
Over the years, I've tried every litter around. I've always preferred Arm & Hammer, but this particular variety is the best I've ever found! Very, very little dust and the odor control is excellent!
The consistency is very much like sand outside. It clumps very well, does not stick to the box, does not follow the cat out of the box, and as advertised there's no "cloud".
