The title says it all, I got this on a heavy discount and would say its worth either price personally. My chewer of a pit has gotten near it unsupervised let's just

The title says it all, I got this on a heavy discount and would say its worth either price personally. My chewer of a pit has gotten near it unsupervised let's just say and it not only survived but nothing pulled off puffed off or anything. My cats are in love with it the hoop at the top was perfect for me to slip a toy through and enticed one of my pickier cats to fall in love. The scratch-a-holics haven't dented the rope and its cute to boot! Get it if its on sale or you can afford a treat for your cats! One last bonus its made of good material, I had to brace my self to get up off the floor one day and it felt more like a piece of furniture than a scratching post.

They love it!

And they actually use it! For scratching, and for play. The single strand of string coming off the base is a great play toy. Very much worth it.

KITTENS MAY LIKE THIS

This item is not for an adult cat.It is too short and not sturdy enough. When my cat attempted to use it it tipped over.

Not a good fit for a kitten

She hasn't even used it. We imitated it for her and even put her on it going up and down like she would with her claws but that didn't work.

Good Scratching Post But One Major Issue

I ordered this for my cats and they have been using it every day since I purchased it. I read some reviews about this post tipping over, but this hasn't been a problem

I ordered this for my cats and they have been using it every day since I purchased it. I read some reviews about this post tipping over, but this hasn't been a problem with my 11 adult cats. The one issue I had with this post is when I was assembling it, I was pushing the bolt through the base to attach the post, and I noticed there wasn't a hole on the carpeted side of the base so the bolt couldn't be pushed through until a hole was made. Chewy sent another but that one was missing a hole in the carpeted portion of the base as well. I ended up using a drill to make an opening in the carpeted portion of the base so I could use it. I mentioned this issue to Chewy to see if there was possibly a bad batch, as both scratching posts were missing holes. I recommend this scratching post with the knowledge that you may need to make a hole in the carpeting portion of the base to use this.
