Something Isn't Right
Generally I am trusting Dr. Mercola's advice with pets, however, this one is a huge flop that caused harm to my two dogs. I have been adding about 1/4th of the recommended dose to my dogs meals for the past few weeks, and today things got totally worse for my Shepherd with IBD. Nothing has changed diet-wise beyond the addition of these enzymes. She has been showing disinterest in food for the past few days, ebbing out of bought of vomiting and diarrhea, ending with total refusal of her food as well as treats. I am genuinely concerned about her and will be going to go to the vet for bloodwork asap. Writing this review as a caution to other pet owners, as something doesn't seem to be right with this formulation.
Does not work!!!! Almost killed my dog
These did not work mainly due to the fact there are not enough digestive enzymes in the ingredients to work properly on dogs who have EPI. Made my dog sick and the vet said to stop immediately!!!!
Mercola digestive enzymes for dogs
this product seems to be helping with my pups licking and scratching .... I have tried several allergy products with no results ... The true test will be when spring and summer come around.... if it still works will give it 5 stars. I have had good results with mercola products in the past... would buy this product again.
Surprisingly better!
I just bought this and my dog has been on it two weeks going on three and he isn't belching up food or passing gas like he was before on Nusentia Enzyme miracle digest. & Metabolic Supple.! I didn't expect this outcome! My dog has a leaky gut so this product has been great thus far!
Cat eating this!
My cat was diagnosed with mild pancreatitis and has had a problem with mild chronic vomiting. He's getting Pepcid, more frequent and overnight feedings, plus these digestive enzymes and probiotics. The probiotics give him diarrhea but so far these have gone down great, and no vomiting for over a month! I put it in his food and he eats it with no problem, so I'll definitely continue feeding these enzymes. Need to find a different probiotic though.
This product works
At the request of my vet I started my dog on this and in a week things in his g.i track were better.with the high heat used to do dry dog kibble this is a product all dogs can benefit from. I personally didn't give the recommended amount I went on the small amount, not always do dogs require that much. My dog is a 92.6lbs pitbull with sensitive stomach and it didn't take much in his food to be of help.
Digestive Enzymes
We started using this for my older dog (who tend s towards sensitive stomach) when we switched to a raw keto diet. This helped ease the transition, additionally she lost weight and her breathing and overall health improved dramatically.

really helped my yorkie digestive system. Much better with her reflux issue.Shes looking much better now
No scoop was included / dosage issue
The instructions on the jar to administer the powder require a scoop. No scoop was sent. Dr Mercola customer service rep knew nothing about how to get a scoop to send to me. Additionally the instructions don't say how much food to mix the powder in. It just says to mix each portion with food. How much food? I just put a little powder on my cat's food and she wouldn't eat it.
works like the old one for my little dog
I have used this dr mercola digestive enzymes for years with my little dog. she has to have it at least one time a day with food or she is all sick and in pain with Tummy aches. I really got lucky last year when they stopd making this product. I had just ordered a jar of this right before they stoped making it. and it has a long shelf life. so before i ran out i started buying and trying other brands of digestive enzymes and none workd at all. not even close to working!!!! so i was really worryed about what would happen when i ran out and couldnt get anymore for my little dog>> this came back out just in time:))) wow that was close for my little dog. I REALLY holp they do not just stop making this product anymore AGAIN. my dog would die without this product and other brands do not work. after looking at the ingredients on all brands this one have like pineapple and other fruits that grow well in Florida. none of the other brands have pineapple in them and that might be the difference in why one works well and the others not at all. so after looking at the old jar of dr mercola and the new one. they have the same stuff in them both but the new one has some new stuff in it as well. but the same stuff as before and it works the same on my dog as the older one when all other brands of digestive enzymes did NOT WORK AT ALL...
