No toy is indestructible. Supervise your pet when using since small parts can present a choking hazard or internal blockage. Discontinue use if the toy is damaged. Keep out of reach of children.
Keep an eye out for wear and tear. Within a month or so, most dogs chew Benebone into submission. Rice-sized flakes are OK, but if it looks like larger chunks are about to come off, it's time to replace.
I got this for a friends new puppy after my great experience. I adopted a dog 5 years ago when sge was about 4 months old. She became what I refer to as a "super chewer" and the damaged she caused even though I work with puppies and supervised heavily, was out of control. I was finally forced to teather her to my waist when I couldn't supervise every second or crate her. I discovered these flavored bones a they saved my house from more damage than it experienced. The flavor promotes chewing the right thing and they last a long time. My other dog also loves them, they are great for gums. Different flavors add to the appeal, dogs can switch chews if they want. I've used this company forever. Customer service is tops. 1000 stars.
My dog is obsessed with these. I have told all my friends about these and their dogs love them too!!
I gave this to a neighbor with a Labrador retriever. My Beagle tried to use it, and, first thing, it got stuck in his little mouth. Lucky I was right there to ease it out. It actually has Puppy embossed on it. I bought a package of two smaller Benebones. As expected, my Beagle chewed them a bit, but quickly lost interest. Hard, plastic-like chews have never seemed like a chew treat to me, and my beagle must agree. Seems like a good idea though.
This is a great product for pups or senior dogs. It's much softer so it's easy on teeth and gums. Our dogs love them! We have a 9 month old Lab and an 11 year old Golden/Lab mix.
This obviously has a good scent/flavor because my dog took it right away. It's a good size. But I was expecting it to actually feel softer (my dog tends to break teeth on hard things) but it feels just as hard as the other ones.
I am so happy to have found this . It is helping my pup during his teething time and keeping him busy so he doesn’t get to chewing on something he isn’t suppose too . I will keep buying them even when he gets fully grown since he is so obsessed with it .
This thing is huge! It’s definitely not for small puppies. It doesn’t have a size in the description but this is literally larger than my 5 lb dog.
This is no puppy chew. Even though it’s described as ‘for puppies and small breeds’ it is a size more for adult dogs. Unfortunately I didn’t check the dimensions due to the misleading description. I’ll have to wait till puppy is grown before using these.
Solidly made but not great for heavy chewers. Best to go with something digestible.
Bought for a puppy, it’s large so make sure you look at the dimensions before purchase. Good thing my Ridgeback is growing fast. Sharing with her cousin.
