Our dog, a rescue, has this habit of taking one morsel at a time and chewing it. He is not the "inhale the food" kind of dog. And he is picky. I have tried other high end foods and grain free ones, and he would leave the bowl for a day or two before hunger drove it in. This food he'll eat. I add either cooked chicken and veggies and yogurt or raw beef or raw liver, kidney, or heart cut in small pieces. Being a carnivore he needs real meat or fish and not just kibbles.

I've used Bil Jac as our base kibble for over 30 years. Love the fact that it is highly digestible. Important for dogs who are on the go, in and out of vehicles, participating in sports, etc. My dogs obviously love it as my "pick up" is minimal. They are obviously utilizing the food well. The lifespan of my dogs over the last 30 years has increased from 9-10 years to 15-16 years. Astonishing for a large breed!!!
