Feeding Instructions

We recommend feeding Bil-Jac Senior Select Formula on a scheduled and controlled basis. Most adult dogs may be fed once daily. However, twice a day feeding may be preferable based on specific needs. Use the feeding chart as a starting point. The proper amount to feed will vary according to age, environment and activity of your dog. Make feeding adjustments to maintain proper weight and condition. Fresh water should be kept available at all times. For your pets health, see your veterinarian regularly. Store this bag in a cool, dry place.

Transition Instructions

When transitioning to a new pet food, do so slowly over a period of about 710 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% new for approximately three days.

The Bil-Jac Difference

The folks at Bil-Jac don't rush when it comes to making high-quality food for your dog. No, they believe healthy food takes time. From their carefully selected ingredients to their slow-cooked and gently dried recipes, these animal-lovers take their time to create a dog food that puts nutrition first. Bil-Jac looks so different because it is so different—and your dog will feel it, too.

The Bil-Jac Difference

Small Batches, Cooked Slowly and Gently

Bil-Jac builds their recipes on high-quality, fresh ingredients – like the 25 pounds of fresh chicken they use to make a 30 pound bag of Bil-Jac Adult Select. Their unique Nutri-Lock cooking method is like no other and allows them to use so much more fresh chicken, without using high-temperatures and high pressure. Instead they craft meals like you would in your own kitchen, for outstanding nutrition and mouth-watering taste.

From the Bowl to the Yard

Not only will your dog's taste buds thank you, but so will his tummy—and so will your lawn. When you feed your pet a quality, nutrient-rich meal, his digestive system will thrive just the way it should. And, when your dog's stomach is happy, so are you.

About Bil-Jac

After returning home from serving in World War II, brothers Bill and Jack Kelly began their mission to create a better pet food in 1947. They developed a completely new way to take large amounts of fresh chicken, cook it slowly, and then vacuum dry it to remove the moisture while keeping its powerful nutritional value. Today, they continue their commitment to nutrition with their ever-growing assortment of foods and treats.

    My dogs really hate this-

By JodiB on Oct 14, 2021

we started out okay with this food- then just all of a sudden when they realized they would be eating it day after day- they just started to not eat. I mix dry kibble with a can of wet food every morning for them, 2 standard poodles, one 12 years old the other is 1.5 - I only got this food to replace what was sold out on chewy to "get us by" - but those stinkers are around the dry food. my older dog was getting the kibble stuck in her throat, she obviously doesn't chew as well, for this being an older dog diet, the squiggly shapes of the kibble are a bit weird. i finally just dumped it out for the racoons and bought some locally.

Best food for our elderly Corgi!

    By jth90c on Mar 19, 2021

We were using another "premium" brand of elderly dog food for our 14 year old Corgi but she wasn't thriving on it. Since we switched to this, she's like a different dog. Much more lively, good coat, no skin issues. She loves it, never leaves any in the bowl (but this is standard for Corgis).

I've been using Bil Jac for +20 years.

By ZanesDad on Feb 21, 2021

I've only ever fed my dogs Bil Jac. It was recommended by a breeder for Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers back in 2000. So I've been using Bil Jac for roughly 20 years. It's the best.

    My Dogs Love Biljac

By DDPI on Dec 14, 2020

My dogs like any food by Biljac. We have two very small dogs that have a hard time eating hard kibble because of their teeth. They can eat this food with no problem because the pieces are small....I feel this helps keep their teeth cleaner than just consuming soft wet food. I am a Biljac Fan.

Looking to change to a food that was easier to chew

By Angus on Dec 11, 2020

Since both my Westies are getting older (Angus 14 and Finnie 12) and one of them had to have two teeth removed, I was looking for something that is easier to chew. They both love it
