Black Gold Explorer Chicken Meal & Brown Rice Formula Dry Dog Food, 40-lb bag

We have been trying to find a good dry dog food that responsible priced so we gave this one a try. At first they finished their entire bowls. But after awhile they would only eat half. And my shepherd eats everything. My Pitbull is sensitive issues digestion and skin allergies well he’s been scratching 24/7 so we are changing their food. So I couldn’t say if it’s good or bad. Like I said first free bowls they gobbled up but then would only eat half and that’s not like them at all.

The dogs liked it at first, but then they didn’t want to eat it. They itched a lot and scooted.

I have 2 dogs. I’ve only fed them home-made dog food for the past few years. However, due to the high cost involved, I decided to add in some bagged dog food into their mix. After reading numerous reviews on many different types of bagged dog foods I landed on Black Gold. My large dog, a Carolina Plott Hound, loved it and can’t get enough of it. He had no issues whatsoever with it. My smaller dog, a terrier mix, had a terrible time with it - bloody diarrhea, vomiting, etc. I backed off the amount per serving and am slowly adding it into his mix a few tablespoons at a time per feeding, and he seems to be tolerating it well now.
