Limited Ingredient, Ha Ha Ha
It is good food, but to say it is a limited ingredient food is a far cry from the truth! I lost count at sixty, that is right 60 ingredients!!! Really do not see how they can claim that it is a limited ingredient food. That is all.
Good food. Poor handling before shipment
Good brand of food, but when the bag of food arrived and I opened the box, the dog food bag had a huge slice down the middle which made all the dog food go everywhere. Not happy about the mess. Would be good if handling was a little more careful before shipping.
Fixed my dog's severe itching and greasy coat!
My dog is the love of my life but she tested me when it came to her picky eating! I can't tell you how many brands and different flavors dog food I went through till I found this one! In my pursuit to find one that she liked she began to have stomach and skin issues! She would being constantly itchy and would develop a greasy film on her skin and would yellow her white fur! I could not find a food would eat and would solve this problem until I came across Blue Skin & Sensative Skin! This food has fixed my babies itching and greasy coat! Now after a bath she stays beautiful bright white!
Great tasting and enjoyed
It's gard to find a great tasting dry dog food that my Bones with touch and eat. He has itchy skin and a bit of a sensitive stomach. I've gone through lots a dry food but he let's it sit all day eats a bit and leaves in his bowl. Bones actually enjoyed this dry dog food and ate it all. He liked the flavor and seems to agree with him and he does seem less itchy as he's not scratching as much. I only buy grain free as my opinion is it is better for my pets so that's how I roll. Will put this on auto bi monthly order and relax with a happy 7 year old pup and too many kitties in the house.
Blue Basics Turkey
I’ve always liked most of the products I’ve bought from Blue Buffalo, this one did not disappoint. It’s a good food and my dog likes it. I went back to this after she got bored and overly sheddy on her last food. She’s gone through two bags of this so far. I didn’t see a huge improvement on her shedding but it’s still a good food. I just switched her to Wellness Complete though to get a little better quality ingredients to see if that helps her shedding.
Best dog food ever!
This food got rid of my dogs allergies, skin issues and stomach problems. I love it and so do my pups. Perfect food for them!!
Best Food I’ve found!
I have a very, very picky Auggie named JoJo. Over the last two years I’ve been trying to find a food she would eat that wasn’t all junk, that wouldn’t make her itch, upset her tummy or that irritated her anal glands. Out of desperation, I picked a bag of this up and the wet food as well. Typically, I have to put enough wet food to touch each morsel or she won’t eat at all lol. She’s slightly spoiled :) Anyhoo, not only will she happily eat this dry-which is great since I have to watch her calories because being part Corgi, she gets chunky super fast, but she’s no longer itchy, her eyes aren’t weepy, her poops have been excellent since day 1 and I just hard core switched her over! She likes the taste and I love the results! She’s also more energetic and getting around better-I think less junk=less inflammation! Very happy I made the switch for my JoJo!
Great food option for my itchy dog

Went from low energy to WHOA energy
We had our 50lb. Pitbull/Foxhound mix eating food that the shelter had her on before we rescued her and after a few months, she was not really interested anymore and would not eat for a day or two at a time as a result. I figured that she just didn't like the food anymore and/or that she was bored with it. We made the switch to the Turkey & Potato Recipe Basics food and it has made a huge difference! She went from a lazy sniff and walk away of the other food to instant lock on as soon as we put her bowl down. She did get a little bored with this food after a week or two (as in it took her longer to be interested and go eat it), but I also bought the same flavor wet food cans and began to mix it in to see if it would entice her. That worked gangbusters! Now she literally attacks her food and inhales it within minutes of setting the bowl down. Her energy level has sky rocketed and her coat is much more shiny and healthy looking than with the other brand. If you have a picky eater, consider the basics dry and wet food combination because it has worked wonders for our little Dottie girl!
