Where are all of the ingredients sourced from and where is this food made

All Blue Buffalo products are manufactured in the United States. Many of their ingredients, such as most grains and meats, like chicken, beef and turkey come from the United States. Lamb and venison can be free range from the United States or New Zealand. Rabbit is sourced from Europe, and trout can come from the United States or Canada. Where possible Blue's suppliers are instructed to source their ingredients from the United States. Where the ingredients are not readily available in the Unites States, such as many vitamins and minerals, their suppliers will only work with reliable foreign companies, and subject all ingredients to rigorous quality testing. None of the ingredients are sourced from China.
How many cups are in the 30-lb bag?

There is approximately 60 cups of food in the 15 pound bag and there is approximately 120 cups of food in the 30 pound bag.
How come this contains Garlic? Isn't Garlic is really bad for dogs?

When used in small amounts, garlic can help support the immune system and liver. It helps the cardiovascular system prevent blood clots, and reduces cholesterol/fat build up in the blood and heart. It also aides in the fight against bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, and increases the rate of killing off parasites. Garlic also helps increase the palatability of products.
I feed my puppy the Life Protection Formula Chicken and Brown Rice for puppies. I would like to switch her to this one for large breed puppies (she's German Shepherd/lab mix) so it's bigger kibble. Are they same thing, only different in size, or would I need to transition her from one to the other?

It's recommended to transition her food. Start by mixing 25% of the new food with your puppy's old food, and gradually increase the proportion of the new food over the next 14 days.

My puppy won't eat this

We used this brand for years with our older St. Bernard. So naturally, when we brought home our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, this was our first choice in food. We transitioned him over from his breeder's food to Blue Buffalo over a few weeks' time. As we added more Blue Buffalo, he ate less of his meal. His food is now 100% Blue Buffalo, and he just won't take more than a few bites. He is becoming noticeably thinner. I will have to try a different brand and transition him over to a new food all over again. I would give the ingredient list 4/5 stars, but the taste (and smell) 1/5 stars.

What's going on with Blue Buffalo?

So I'm searching for a grain based dry food for my 4 months old puppy and decided to try this since she's gonna be a big girl. I started with just 25% of this and 75% of her original food, then the diarrhea happened, thought it might be just her adjusting but no, it kept happening. We also had her try the blue buffalo canned food before and she had diarrhea, now I'm feeling stupid for trying blue buffalo the second time thinking it might just be a bad batch. Would not recommend anyone with Blue Buffalo ever, now I'm left with a full bag of food only to throw it out.

We bought this food to transition from the food the shelter was feeding our puppy when we picked her up! She loves it and has had no problems once the transition from her other food was complete! We will continue using blue Buffalo!

LOVE this particular puppy food!!!

I have used this BB Large Breed Puppy food for almost 20 years with all of my dogs since then & I couldn't be happier with the results! A little over a month ago I rescued 2 neglected Rottie youths & took them to the vet for shots, exams, etc. This food was already waiting for them when they arrived at their new forever home. When I took them back for boosters, etc. the vet couldn't believe the difference in their attitudes and how shiny their coats were now. :D I have used this puppy food for my adult girl who had cancer (prognosis 3-4 months - lived 13 months longer), an adult male with seizures (still had small seizures but no more grand mals thank goodness!), and every puppy I have had since discovering it because it gives them a GREAT start in life - PLUS it allows their bodies to grow JUST RIGHT so they are healthy in later life! I will happily continue to buy this particular Large Breed puppy food UNLESS Blue Buffalo changes the recipe like they did with the Wilderness and go elsewhere if that happens!!

vet recommended against this brand

Our puppy had horrible diarrhea. Told the vet what food we were using, and she told us Blue Buffalo has great marketing but not great food. Switched to Purina and our pup's diarrhea disappeared instantly!

Too Rich for Lab Puppy

I wanted to love this. Unfortunately, it gave my puppy liquid poops. He started this at 10 weeks, roughly 17 pounds, and his stomach did not agree with it. He had agonizing diarrhea. Our vet switched him to Hill's Science Diet and he's been fine (with solid poops, thank goodness) ever since.

Blue buffalo

This is absolutely the best dog food I have ever fed. It is a little expensive, but the results are worth it. I use the large breed puppy and the adult. I started using this about five years ago and this is all I feed. I do free feed, but they usually only eat once a day. The condition of coats and body are beautiful. The best part not too much poo the to clean up.
