Our cat has eaten this food for a decade so when she started to have an itchy allergy we thought it was dust or pollen and just tried Zyrtec. It kept getting worse so we finally had her checked out. Stool sample showed blood. Knowing the food we were feeding her, she suggested a new food Beyond Organic and we made the switch. I'm one week the itching was almost stopped completely, and in 3 weeks it was gone. BONES! We switched to a bone free food because no bones is best. I then took a small scoop and rinsed it. Used my fingertip to feel for the shards and flicked out onto a plate. They do not crush. They would make your finger bleed if you tried to crush it. They are worse than sand because they are like sharp pieces of metal filings but they are bones. If they advertise No Bones it must be good to be No Bones! We'll testify to that.
Ms Chief Cherie (our over weight though elegant French lady, black with an adorable summer flowered collar) and Phantom Menace, (our black senior alpha cat) both love most Blue Buffalo wet pate. There was a time when they would only eat chicken, then beef, now tuna and chicken. If we have refrigerated partially served cans we warm portions up slightly in the microwave for a few seconds so they think we have just opened a can of the “lickin good” elixir.
Our younger cats Hank and Patrick love this chicken flavored wet food so much that they line up when I go to the pantry for a can. First one they both enjoy.
After a few days of this, the cats interest waned. But when I switch it up with other food, when reintroduced they go back to eating it.
My cat is a hog. He will eat until he vomits from over eating so I have to give him several small portions. He used to love this but something changed in the formula and he won’t eat it any more. He’s stopped eating all blue Buffalo can food. The change happened with the product name and packaging change. I switched to natural balance and he’s a pig again.
Lily is my 15 year old Siamese mix blue eyed Girl. She loves the pate mixed with her Senior kibbles from Blue. I was on another food for her, and she wasn’t doing so well. Once I put her on Blue, her fur, and attitude have come back. Thank You
My cat Nicole gets very excited when she gets her food from Chewy!!
I would NOT recommend this food! After a long time feeding Tastefuls to my 2 cats, the canned food was reformulated. My cats were unenthusiastic about the new food, but would eat it. I ordered 4 or 5 cases of the 5.5 oz cans at the beginning of the year and suddenly, one cat refused to eat it and tried to cover it up and the other vomited after every meal! $670 later, the vet found nothing amiss with my cat. I think this food has been reformulated again and contains something that my cats find distasteful/sickening.
3 cats- 2 seniors, 1 age 8, all loved Tastefuls. Gobbled it right down
One of our cats is on daily medication and is nearly impossible to give a pill without bloodshed. I hide his pill in a fingertip size dollop of this and he scarfs it down. He thinks medicine time is treat time.
