Quality at a good price

I compared the percent of fat protein and fiber to other products that cost $65 a bag. Protein was the same, fiber was higher, and fat was a little lower. A scoop

I compared the percent of fat protein and fiber to other products that cost $65 a bag. Protein was the same, fiber was higher, and fat was a little lower. A scoop of Cool Calories will solve the fat issue.

Been using 3 weeks, not sure it's helping

I've been feeding this daily for 3 weeks on my 20 yr old mare that dropped a lot of weight recently. She has laminitis and can't have alfalfa or sweetfeed. The vet

I've been feeding this daily for 3 weeks on my 20 yr old mare that dropped a lot of weight recently. She has laminitis and can't have alfalfa or sweetfeed. The vet ruled out her teeth or worms being the issue and her grass hay is the best I can find right now. I was really hoping to see major improvement with this but honestly I'm not sure. I mix 2 cups of this with 3 cups rolled oats and 2 cups timothy pellets daily and she has access to hay 24/7. The last time I ran out of oats I didn't get more for a week because I wanted to see if she needed them with this new feed and after a few days she looked worse so I got more. I haven't decided yet if I'm getting another bag of this. I see a lot of people complaining about the quality of this feed on arrival but my bag was fine. That's why I gave it 3 stars.

Putting weight on my growing boy

Most of my horses keep without grain, but my stallion is going through a lot of growth this year and needed some help maintaining a good weight. This feed is filling

Most of my horses keep without grain, but my stallion is going through a lot of growth this year and needed some help maintaining a good weight. This feed is filling him out nicely, but he’s not hot or anxious on it. He loves it and cleans his bucket every day. Price has stayed good too!

Kate, my 35 year old mare, lost weight this past winter. She's on pasture which is the perfect food according to my vet but she needed more calories. It's actually hard to find horse feed with molasses so when I saw this feed on Chewy I gave it a try. She loves it and supplementing a few pounds a day helped her gain the weight she needed. Getting feed delivered to my house is a big plus as our local feed store has a limited selection.

I was writing to let you know that the latest bag(s) of Bluebonnet Feeds Horseman's Elite Ultra Fat High Fat Horse Feed I bought has blue plastic bits in it. There are shards of blue plastic mixed into the feed and some are even in the shape of pellets. I've been digging through it and removing as much blue plastic as I can, but I don't feel comfortable feeding it to my mare--she's 34 and has few teeth left... I have a small baggy of what I've collected so far. I usually buy two or three bags at a time and pour them into metal garbage cans.
