Beware! Can break teeth!

We have a 17 lb mini golden doodle, who loves to chew on things! A family member recommended deer antlers to us, and our dog loves them. We didn’t let ours have

We have a 17 lb mini golden doodle, who loves to chew on things! A family member recommended deer antlers to us, and our dog loves them. We didn’t let ours have it all the time or anything, but I think we’ve been through 5-6 in his little over two years of age. Needless to say, I found a vertical chip of his tooth, and we took him to the vet who discovered he had two broken upper, rear molars! So I’d like to caution all buyers to really think about how their dog chews on these antlers. Our vet is going to have to pull both teeth with three roots each, so poor doggie! And it will cost $1000 for the two teeth. Our dog obviously did not have enough sense not to break his own teeth, and regrettably apparently we didn’t either. So buyers beware!

They do not break down easy so they last for months. It takes him a little while to break them down, but when he does, I only have to purchase them every couple months Dominic’s favorite chew toy.
