Brown's Bird Lover's Blend Extreme! Trail Mix Bird Food has everything a trail mix should, but it's made especially for woodpeckers and songbirds like cardinals, blue jays, chickadees and nuthatches. This fruit and nut blend features chunks of papaya and pineapple with raisins, coconut shreds, sunflower seeds and an assortment of premium shelled nuts. These ingredients are rich in fats and protein to attract all native woodpecker species along with colorful songbirds. Squirrels are sure to stay away with the added secret ingredients of hot pepper seeds and Cajun spices.

  • Jam-packed with the foods they love so there is less outdoor mess and cleanup, which makes it more economical too
  • They’ll love the natural ingredients such as shelled almonds, cashews, peanuts, and sunflower seeds…ingredients that are rich in fats and protein
  • Luscious raisins, papaya, pineapple, and coconut are added to create a rich blend they’ll crave
  • Added spicy chili peppers and Cajun spices, seldom found in ordinary bird food mixes, to keep the squirrels away

    Not Sure

    By on

Not sure about this product.... I have many (too many) wild birds feeding everyday and 6 feeding stations set up. I only feed in the winter (Upstate NY harsh winters). When changing out foods, I find most of the fruits are left behind, definitely the raisins, papaya and coconut, so I might just start making up my own blends. All the nuts are eaten. As with most blends, this does NOT keep squirrels away. The only sure way to do that is to feed them separately - I give them corn, black oil sunflower and whole peanuts in the shell from the grocery store. I only have about 5 of them so I can keep up with it, plus the cardinals, jays and doves like eating from the ground feeders as well. As always Not sure about this product.... Extremely disappointed

The squirrels in Missouri LOVED this product. I was rather frustrated that I purchased this item specifically to keep the squirrels away. I should have kept my money and lay out the Planters Deluxe nut can.
