Honestly. this cost too much money to basically be millet. I bought this for my bug loving bird feeders and I see this will attract more grackles and cowbirds than bluebirds. The photos provided online are deceptive - I've added photos to this review so you can see what you actually receive. Its 70% millet, you are better off just buying dried mealworms at this price point. No I would not recommend.

We live in the Midwest and so far, winter has been pretty wet and mild. I filled the feeders with this seed, and holy moly, they ALL came. We have some really comical and vocal red breasted woodpeckers that LOVE it, likely for the mealworms. But the starlings, chickadees, wrens, and robins all love it as well. They haven't been ravishing the feeders, maybe on account for the higher protein content so they're fuller longer? But we usually blow through a regular wild bird seed bag pretty quickly, and NEVER had such a diverse audience with regular seed. Will definitely repurchase.

I usually order a couple of types of birdseed to mix together, then put that mixture in birdfeeders. Very disappointing, because looking at the illustrations for

I usually order a couple of types of birdseed to mix together, then put that mixture in birdfeeders. Very disappointing, because looking at the illustrations for this product online, it has a whole lot of the black sunflower seeds and a whole lot of mealworms. The bag I received is by far mostly millet very little black is in the mixture and I can count the meal worms on one hand. I don’t normally write reviews, but this was extreme enough where I felt I needed to. Will not buy again.
