Made my dog sick

I think I bought two bags of these treats this year but I can only find order history for one. Anyway, over the span of having them my dog had gastrointestinal upset twice where she was eating everything green in the yard and throwing up. Both times I cut all her treats out including this one and it went away. The first time I had to put her on boiled chicken and rice for a few days to get her stomach calmed down and before I could introduce any treats back into her diet. When it happened the second time, I paid more careful attention as I integrated her other treats back in slower but left these out. The problem hasn't recurred since I stopped feeding these. I am convinced that it was this one that was causing the problem. It's weird too because I have fed her other pig ears brands off and on for years as a snack and don't recall her ever getting sick like this. Her other snacks are Newman's Own chicken jerky, her veggie dent chew for dental, and her Three Dog Bakery sandwich cookies. Those all seem fine. She also takes a cosequin once a day. She turned 10 this month. Maybe her stomach can't handle pig ears anymore but she's only a medium size dog and still has plenty of energy.

We received these Pigs Ears 2 days ago and I gave one to my German Shepherd and she won’t get it! Now, I have a Full Bag of them and, don’t know what to do with them. I even tried to give them to my neighbors Pit Bull and he won’t take them either saying they’re bad for his dogs stomach. So, I suppose it’s 22 dollar lesson learned.

These are half pig ears so the price ends up the same as if the full ear were ordered. However I found the size was good and I could give my large dog one as a treat and effectively save half the cost of the regular pig ears. My dog loves them. Highly recommend.

Yes they were for the queen

Codie wouldn't touch them and her friend Harley won't eat them if Codie is around, so the pigs ears became the treat for the next door dog Luna.

Great value but something is different

I bought these for my shih-chon who usually loves ears, but he isn’t drawn to these. They smell better than the large ones I’ve given him in the past. And they should be a better size, but it just isn’t a match. I’m sure there are dogs that will love these. My little guy seems to think these smell too clean.

Got sick

We only give her one new thing a day if trying something and this was the first time trying pig ears and it actually made her sick.

Too small

Pig ears were very, very small, compared to others I have bought in the past from other sources.

These are the perfect size for our 30 lb 2 yr old corgi, Fiona. She loves them. They are a little veiny (what are you gonna do though?) but thankfully we haven’t gotten one yet with a number tattooed on the ear (not my favorite - yeesh). Fiona likes to “bury” her pig ear somewhere around the house, like under the curtain, in my seat on the sofa, in her bed, in her toybin, etc. Later she goes back and digs it out but she won’t chew on it until she’s done this little bury & retrieve ritual. It’s really adorable and she’s very proud of herself. These wear her down expending all this focus, so it’s a great option for this high-energy dog.

My dogs new favorite treat

I used to feed my dog greenies and decided she deserves something natural and better. Now she’s even happier than before.
