The Toy With Built-In Rewards

Busy Buddy interactive toys are made for exactly what the name says—keeping your buddy busy doing the thing he loves to do (chew). These durable treat-holding toys give him an extra reward for chewing the things he should be chewing, instead of the furniture. Playtime is sure to last much longer as he tries to solve the puzzle to get to the tasty rawhide rings.

A Satisfying Challenge for Your Pup

A Satisfying Challenge for Your Pup

Dogs love to chew because it satisfies instinctual urges. Busy Buddy toys give them the same satisfaction they would get by catching prey in the wild and being able to eat what they catch. There's a Busy Buddy toy for every type of four-legged hunter, and each is made with durable nylon and rubber that has a pleasant vanilla scent.

More Than Just a Puzzle Toy

Aside from being a fun and challenging puzzle toy, the Busy Buddy can help prevent bad behaviors like inappropriate chewing, excessive barking and digging through the trash. It's also the perfect solution for separation anxiety or boredom and makes a great training reward. The varied textures and rawhide rings keep pups content and engaged for hours.

Treat Ring Refills

Treat Ring Refills

You can refill your dog's Busy Buddy with several flavors of treat rings, including natural rawhide, peanut butter or bacon. Some have added health benefits, like the Dental Support rings that help clean teeth and freshen breath, or Joint Support rings with glucosamine and chondroitin. Each package is labeled with the ring size that will fit.

Ultra Toys for Determined Chewers

For heavy chewers, a Busy Buddy Ultra toy might be the best option. They're designed to challenge your dog even more than regular Busy Buddy toys. The Ultra Sub has treat rings that spin, and the Ultra Stratos is the same diameter as the rings, making them harder to grip. The cone-shaped ends of the Ultra Woofer present a trickier challenge as your dog figures out how to get to the ring.

  • Our English bulldogs LOVE the Busy Buddy Bristle Bone toy!

    By on

Our two English bulldog girls love, LOVE! this toy. They are a heavy chewer and will destroy any toys in a matter of minutes. So far...the toy is holding up. The end and middle nyla part is chewed on. Bristle and rubber nub is still in tack so that's a good thing. We have not put the rawhide treat in it because of our girls sensitivity to new food or treats. But they love it nevertheless. I'm ordering another large bone today so my Bella doesn't have to wait for her sister Beatrice to share. And we'll have peace and quiet in the house...maybe..

  • Power chewer destroyed first chew.

    By on

Okay my dogs love them. I have a lab and a corgi beagle mix. The first chew they destroyed them before they finished the treat. Even managed to get parts of the rubber off. Im glad I was watching them closely as I do with any new product. They just aren't strong enough for my dogs. I give them nylabones often but these appear to be softer in comparison. If you have soft chew dog they will love these, but in comparison to my breeds they will destroy them. I gave 4 stars because they loved them. But for the cost they should just advertise not for power chewers.

I ordered this toy for my Goldendoodle, an enthusiastic chewer to say the least, so I didn't have very high hopes for this despite what all the reviews said. I inserted the treat disks as instructed and handed it over. He destroyed the entire center section in under 10 minutes - ate the treats, the bristles, and the plastic disks themselves. He also did heavy damage to the bone ends. I had also ordered the Nubbly toy and he completey destroyed the ends and the screw rod the first time I gave it to him, so that the toy was unusable. BUT - that softer "rubbery" texture of the center section of the Nubbly seems to dare him to destroy it less, so I discarded what was left of this toy's center I ordered this toy for my Goldendoodle, an enthusiastic chewer to say the least, so I didn't have very high hopes for this despite what all the reviews said. BUT - that softer "rubbery" texture of the center section of the Nubbly seems to dare him to destroy it less, so I discarded what was left of this toy's center and replaced it with the purple rubbery center from the other toy, which was all that was left of that one. The bone ends, though damaged can still be securely screwed onto the ends of the center rod. I don't put disk treats in it anymore since that encourages him to chew and "dig" at the toy. Now I just smear peanut butter into all the little waves and crevices on the purple rubber center and he now mostly just licks the toy. Anyway, the revised version has held up for the month since Santa brought it, so I guess with reservation, I recommend, but not for truly aggressive chewers... … more

  • Not for heavy chewers!

    By on

We have a 14 month old Husky/Heeler mix and she is a HEAVY chewer! I had hoped that this product would be a lasting fun way to keep her occupied and clean her teeth all at the same time. I got it, took it apart, washed the pieces, put it back together with the treat discs and then gave it to our dog. With in 30 minutes our dog had gotten it apart and chewed the bristle discs until they were no longer usable. Waste of money for me!

  • Favorite toy by far!

    By on

Our dog absolutely loves this thing. She gets all excited, jumping around while we fill it with the treats and gleefully runs off with it. She then spends the next several hours focused on removing said treats and even when the treats are gone she still goes at it trying to get any little morsels that remain. It has held up the her gnawing at it nonstop and she has yet to become bored with it.

  • Love This for Power Chewer

My dog can go through anything like a wood chipper. He did eventually destroy this, but took him 3 months to do it.It keeps him entertained and & is good when we want him to have a quiet time. It works better if we use the thick rawhide rings. He has the thin ones out in no time. They do come unscrewed and fall apart, so check them often during chewing time and tighten up occasionally.

  • Great Puzzle Toy

I do not write many reviews because my dog is not very picky about her toys, and loves to play with everything, BUT. I have to tell you this is the greatest. It was one of her presents for Christmas. (LOL, yes my dog gets Christmas present.) I put it together, and at first she didn’t know what to make of it. She kind of did a dance around it. Took her paw and pounced on it and then realized it could be chewed and it tasted good. For the next 4 hours she was inseparable with that toy. As a matter of fact, she went through the second set of chew ring pieces the next day. The Puppy made the mistake of walking away from it for a moment and her older sister took the toy over for a while. Refills are a must, sort of like batteries for a child's toy. If you dog loves to chew, lovers toys, I highly recommend this one; you will not be disappointed. … more

  • Dewey loved it, but not for heavy chewers

    By on

My dog loved this toy so much. He started chewing on it right away. It was a challenge for him to get the rawhide which was great (hence 3 stars), but I noticed he started getting the bristles chewed off. So like most chew toys, do not let your dog chew on this unsupervised. If you have a heavy chewer, I would just stay away from it period.

  • Pretty good chew toy

I have 2 Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mixes, and they both love this bone, and we've had it for a couple weeks, and it's still like new. They normally chew through their bones pretty quickly. The only thing I'm not happy with is the part with the bristles. They chewed through that in about 2 days, then the bristles started coming off and getting stuck in their teeth and throat. As soon as I realized that was happening, I took the bristles parts off and the bone is great again.

  • So much nope....and it's big

My dog loves the Jack by Busy Buddy, so I thought I'd give this a try as a toothbrush. Noooooope. Hates it. Won't go near it. My dog is a Min Pin, topping out at 14 pounds, and this is still too big. Luckily, Chewy has the best customer service on the planet. It seems I need the dental chews, but the dog gets to decide that one. Sigh.
