The pet door is able to swivel both ways, on the hinges, when left unlocked.

Does this gate have the lift up latch? The picture doesn't seem to match the isntructions.

To open, pull the spring lock away from the easy open latch while simultaneously lifting the lock lever upwards. This will release the locking latch from the gate frame and allow the door to push or pull open. To lock the door shut, close the door completely, then push down on the lock lever to re-engage the spring lock.

Does what it's Intended to do with a minor tweak

I'll start by saying that this is almost exactly what I was looking for - it's tall enough to hold back the biggest of fur babies while allowing the cat a getaway

I'll start by saying that this is almost exactly what I was looking for - it's tall enough to hold back the biggest of fur babies while allowing the cat a getaway. However, there is an issue with the little cat door: namely, the spring-loaded latch has the potential to lock the cat out. I thought about removing the little door entirely, but there was no way to do that without some serious metalworking equipment. I ended up settling on a zip-tie solution that's worked like a charm. I would give this five stars if the small door or the spring-loaded latch were customizable or removable.

I have not had to send anything back to Chewy's before, but let me share my experience. I ordered this pet door to block our dogs downstairs and to prevent grandkids from falling. Unfortunately, it was 2 inches too short. I contacted Chewy's via their chatbox to send the gate back. They immediately credited my account and asked that I donate it to a shelter. Amazing! This was unexpected and a surprising result. Who would not want to do business with a responsive company like this?

This gate is well made and does exactly what I bought it for. It keeps my dog out of the cat food while allowing me to freely move in and out of the space to keep

Too Wide, won't fit in doorway

Description says it can adjust from 29-36.5in but the width of the gate itself is 30in. The screw adjusters on each end are around 3/4 in each adding another 1.5in

Junk.

Was looking to replace our pet gate to keep the dogs away from our cats litter box and food. The gate we had was so easy, sturdy, everything we were looking for

Was looking to replace our pet gate to keep the dogs away from our cats litter box and food. The gate we had was so easy, sturdy, everything we were looking for but my cat wouldn’t go over or through. I purchased this because of the height, walk through ability, and the pet door for the cat to go in and out freely. This gate is awful. My dog can push it over with her nose and any time we try to walk through the gate gets stuck or the whole gate detaches from the wall. 10 out of 10 don’t recommend. Don’t waist your money or sanity

The worst gate I have ever purchased

I bought an extra tall gate a few years back and wanted to purchase another exact same gate. This gate was linked to that order as being the same gate. It is not

I bought an extra tall gate a few years back and wanted to purchase another exact same gate. This gate was linked to that order as being the same gate. It is not. This gate is smaller, horribly flimsy, needs to be perfectly linear for the gate to close. This takes me 10 minutes to set up to get it just right. When I need to set this up for my dog, I need it to set up in 10 seconds, not get a level.

Does a good job of blocking my dog. I’m not a fan of the lock mechanic. You have to slide a plastic piece over and push a button down to open it and you have to have it in the same position to close it. It’s annoying but it works. Side note: I was looking for a cheaper outdoor gate. Since it had stainless steel and metal as the materials I was hoping it was mostly stainless steel, but it rusted with one day of rain.
