Not easy to portion out.

The carprofen is great for our dog! However, my dog is supposed to get 1/4 of this pill per serving and I can’t even cut it in half without it disintegrating into

The carprofen is great for our dog! However, my dog is supposed to get 1/4 of this pill per serving and I can’t even cut it in half without it disintegrating into powder. We have tried a pill cutter, cutting it with a knife, and tried breaking it with our fingers which is not possible. This is our second bottle, I don’t know that there’s anything that can resolve this issue, just leaving a review to spread awareness.

I ordered this in an emergency as we forgot to pack our dog’s medicine on a trip. I thought Chewy would be the fastest option but it took multiple phone calls to customer service to get the order going, even after we could see the vet approved (they wouldn’t accept a paper prescription). The order is now shipping 3 days after the vet approved it and likely won’t arrive until more than a week after we ordered (Chewy doesn’t offer expedited shipping).

I talked to 3 different people on 3 different calls, and each was friendly, organized and totally competent. It is a joy to work with you. Also they offered to refund my emergency supply since the approval of rx was taking a while. Thank you !

We tried two different pill splitters and several knives on several cutting surfaces. I estimate we wasted at least 1/3 of our supply. VERY costly and disappointing .

These shatter when you try to cut them in half

I would love to have these replaced, please with the proper pill like the one I purchased at my veterinarian. 25 mg. With these shattering when you try to cut them in half, you can never give the proper dose. The ones from my vet were much larger an easier to break in half with your fingers. Please resolve this or I don’t want any more of these. This picture indicates that I have already gotten rid of all the powder and you can clearly see the difference in the cut. I don’t wanna stress everytime I cut a pill for my baby boy.

When we ran out of carprofen pain meds for our dog, and it was a weekend, I ordered through Chewy. They notified me first thing when the prescription was approved by our Vet, and it arrived within a couple of days afterward. Its a flavored chewable form, which makes it easier for our pet to take. I love Chewey Rx service.

I do not like this new MFG you are using - JVET. The pills are much smaller and they are impossible to cut in quarters without them crumbling into dust. I hope you

I hope you will go back to the MFG: Dechra before I need to refill again. It is hard to say if the pain relief is the same; since both of my boys are aging rapidly now. They are 14.5 years old.
