When your sick cat will no longer eat solids
By Jamie on Oct 25, 2020
This is a thick gruel, with very tiny bits of ground meat. My cat has a combination of ailments, including diabetes, IBD, and asthma. When her medication balance is off and she's feeling poorly, the first sign is that she stops eating the solid chunks in her food. Caru stews were recommended to me by someone I know who said her cat with cancer would eat this when it would refuse other foods. I found this to also be true! My cat will only eat the liquid portions when she's feeling really poorly, but as she starts to feel better she will polish off the entire thing. This is a cat who always preferred dry food, but after getting sick, would only eat wet food, and now apparently only wants gruel. This is a thick gruel, with very tiny bits of ground meat. Almost mousse & great packaging
By TinasTuxes on Oct 28, 2020
I really was thinking broth when I bought this. I really think the packaging is perfect and was a little surprised at how stew/mousse this looks. Only 2 of my many little fur balls enjoyed it. Thankfully, it is my two older gals who are cruising on 9 years. The others, who are around 6-7 won't touch it. And i have kept trying. I like the product contents, I just wish it was more "soupy"so more kitties could get the hydration benefit.

I have four cats and none of them would touch this. Took a sniff and walked away.

My cats are "not" picky eaters.

However, they wouldn't come near this. I just hope I can return this case.

Food Grade for Cats
By Pauline on Sep 8, 2019
I have been an animal rescue person for many years. I read alot about food quality for both dogs and cats. CARU is a great brand and one that my dogs and cats love. Unfortunately I house far more cats than the average person so I cannot always afford to feed this brand. I sometimes buy The Honest Kitchen for cats and mix it in with lower grade food. All of my cats love the CARU and it is always gone in minutes. It is a smart buy for healthier more long-lived animal friends.

great ingredients, unfortunately no go
By MPChicago on Sep 8, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
I got this food to try it out since ingredients are wholesome. Unfortunately my kitties didnt take to it. Oh well. I will try to tempt them with it again, and if not, it's going to other hungry kitties.

Beware of Flavors
By Monet on Jan 30, 2019
My cat does not this flavor from the manufacturer. He loves the one they are out of stock on. I can't remember what ingredients it was off the top of my head. I think it was turkey and something. My older ragdoll likes the "soup-like" texture of this food. Just order a flavor your cat likes.

Refused: food might work for some
By AdoptGeriatricCats on Oct 27, 2018
This "stew" is really a slurry. The largest bits (about 3/16") are unrecognizable as an ingredient, but certainly a plus for cats that like to lick or lap up their wet food. Unfortunately, the pluses didn't entice my old boy. I wish I could convince him otherwise.
