Human Grade Ingredients!

Perfect for elderly cats for hydration purposes. So far this is a bit hit for my seniors. They prefer soupy texture food as Sugar Cookie has no teeth and Saffron

Perfect for elderly cats for hydration purposes. So far this is a bit hit for my seniors. They prefer soupy texture food as Sugar Cookie has no teeth and Saffron has some. They are VERY fussy and prefer pate type food with extra bone broth (Caru also) mixed in to thin it. I just smash up any lumps of food into their desired consistency. I love that this is a U.S. company and made in the USA with human grade ingredients. Some folks complain about the container. I don't have an issue with it. I like that you can pour the stew into the cats' bowls. Since I split the contents between my two cats, no need to store/refrigerate any for later. I hope Caru doesn't change the consistency. There are other high quality brand options for those that feel it's too watery.

Had my last few cats on Caru and with great results. Had a quality control concern when a large order arrived and all the ones we opened were essentially not "set",

Had my last few cats on Caru and with great results. Had a quality control concern when a large order arrived and all the ones we opened were essentially not "set", as they use tapioca starch, to thicken. As a private chef, I used to me my own, and yes, I would use an all natural thickener that uses a digestible starch for felines, so I get it for developing the "stew" texture. I have also never had a thickening starch not set. Gelatin yes, starches no, so Im thinking they pumped out quite a few from the factory without it. I contacted Chewy as well as Caru, and the owners of Caru understood my concerns, had me sned samples to their manufacturing plant and contacted a few weeks later to inform that they corrected the issue and concerns and sent me cases of replacements and donated the ones that I was unhappy with and not going to use. Its as advertised, the owner went out of her way to make things right [as did Chewy, but was already dealing with the owner at that point]. Very happy to have it fixed as well as the furries are back to the gobbling.

My 13 year old cat was sick, and threw up every day. I asked a holistic vet what to do, and she recommended changing to Caru cat food. She said the nutrition in it was good, and it should help her. She was right! She started eating it, and doesn't throw up any more. Plus, she looks healthy now. Thank you Caru cat food!

Only food my cat will eat

Just don’t ABSOLUTELY JUNK!!!

I will give this junk 1 star for the ingredients. I liked the apples, crab. My first issue was, and a HUGE one was these containers are impossible to open! I’m 5.2 and have a little nerve damage in my hands but I can still do most things. I couldn’t get this open for anything and it nearly went out the window. So I took scissors, which actually hurt my hands trying to cut through such heavy packaging and it went all over the counter! What was left I gave to my 3 cats and an outdoor cat. Not one of the four would touch this garbage. So not only did I drive myself insane trying to open it but NONE of my 4 would eat it-and if the outside cat doesn’t eat it I know there’s something very wrong. They need to change their packaging. No thought put into anything and obviously food is garbage as cats won’t touch—4 cats will not touch!!!! DEFINITELY will NOT ever buy from this company again—-EVER!
