Feeding Instructions

For adult cats, feed 1 park per 6-8 lbs. of body weight per day. Kittens require up to two and a half times this amount. For pregnant and lactating females, allow free access to food. Adjust the amount of food to meet your cat's individual needs. Food should be fed at room temperature. Always provide access to fresh water.

Transition Instructions

Slowly transition your pet to Caru stews over a period of about 7 days so that the new food is not a sudden shock to their system. Mix 25% of the new food in with 75% of the current food for the first 2 days, then mix 50% new food with 50% existing food for the next 2 days, then mix 75% new food with 25% current food for the next 2 days. By day seven, you can feed your dog 100% new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process.

    Packaging sucks

By TheCatsRoomate on Feb 22, 2021

The price was reasonable, for the ingredients listed. But the carton is tough to open. I have to use scissors and the carton is thick so it's not an easy task. Plus a lot of the food sticks to the side and top of the carton. Will not buy again.

    My girls didn't like

By SissySue on Jan 11, 2021

I gave 3 stars because it seems to have very healthy ingredients, but my 2 girls did not care for it. I have 2 senior CKD kitties and am always trying to find healthy food with high quality protein and somewhat lower in phosphorous that they will actually eat and enjoy, it's a struggle. They won't eat the low protein, low phosphorous foods that most vets recommend for CKD. So, to me it's better that they eat something rather than nothing. I will continue searching.

    Caru Classics Turkey Stew

By Linda on Jan 13, 2021

I felt it was good human grade food and not the garbage from dead animals that is rotten and fed to our poor pets. It smells good and the cats, which I have 3, liked it. I will buy again. At least I know they are eating real food not garbage that will kill them in the long run. I would like to see the price come down a little so that other people can feed their pets a better quality of food.

    Not for us

By Kcat on Jan 21, 2021 Top 250 Contributor

I like everything about this product but my cats unwillingness to eat it. It would be worth the price if they would eat it but all 3 cats just sit there and look at me when I try to feed it to them.

Cat does not like this flavor. he is spoiled

By Bull on Dec 1, 2020

I rate the food good but priced way too high. For 12 boxes costing $35 is a lot. Some people can’t afford food for themselves never mind trying to do the right thing for his or her pet

Awful overpriced .....should be rated as a 0.

By Debra on Jul 19, 2020

Please don’t waste your hard earned money on this product. So overpriced for a small box of Gravy. Yes that’s it. No evidence of turkey whatsoever. And. Cats hate it. Tried to even mix it with their grain free organic dry food. No non no. It’s a shame companies try to sell awful products like this. Also bought at the same time the Wild Salmon and Turkey Stew. Same awful issues.

This started out a hit, but became boring

By macriley on Apr 18, 2020 Top 500 Contributor

When I opened the first carton, I was surprised how it looked like baby food. If you have a kitty that has lost their teeth, this would be a fantastic food for them. Anyway, I put around 1/4 carton in each of their plates to see if they liked it. Well, they loved it, and loved it the next day. The next time I fed it, a couple of days later, I gave them each 1/2 carton. That was too much in front of them I think, because they barely ate it. I will take it out of their rotation, but use it as another occasional food.

Not a hit with my senior cat

By LMats on Feb 13, 2020

I picked this because my cat is older, has kidney disease, and likes to lick the gravy off her food. She did not like this. If you're wondering about the texture like I was, this is ground turkey bits in a semi-thin gravy soup. Maybe my girl just doesn't like turkey.

    Pickey Kitty LOVES IT!!

By RangersMom on Jan 12, 2020

My sensitive stomach Siamese cat usually needs Rx cat food that costs big bucks otherwise she throws up. Decided to try this since it is natural, even human grade. Holy cow, it worked! I give her a little spoonful in the morning to start up her tummy, she laps it up and we're off for the day. No throwing up!!! Will be trying some of the other flavors, but the Turkey Stew is a hit!!
