This nail grinder works much better than I expected it to work. The low sound setting does not spook Jake and the grinder is a serious improvement over my clipper. It is easy to use with the slot in which to insert the nail.
The dog nail grinder works great my dog hates having his nails trimmed and I do this and it's much better than a clipper it's fast it's quick it's not very loud and gets the job done. You can take the shield off or keep it on. The charge lasts a while. It went above my expectations
Great Product! Gets the job done safely and quickly! The only trick is getting your pup to cooperate. Take care of it when they are tired and reward often so they associate nothing but positivity when you pull out this wonderful tool.
It appears well made and is not very loud at all. No problem with charging. I had high hopes for this. I followed the manufacturers suggestions about getting pups slowly used to it. Kept it off, let them smell it, touched their paws while giving special little snacks, but no good. I will try again in a week or two. I have a 14 pound chi mix, and a 17 pound chiweenie. Both let me cut their nails with a clipper. Just want to do away with the sharp ends.
Was skeptical at first due to the price and nature of these grinders, however I was surprised at how quiet it is! My dog loathes getting his nails trimmed, it’s always a big event. You would think I was stabbing him! However after turning on the trimmer and letting him get used to the very minimal sound he let me grind his sharp nails back. We have tried other grinders in the past especially name brand ones and they are too loud! This one is great!
Its OK. It's the first nail dremel that my dog is not terrified of. I have a 50 lb GS/Shiba mix, and he is scared of any loud sound if its going near his nails. The issue with this product though, is that it takes FOREVER to actual trim him nails. I will have to literally use to for 10 mins each nail in order for it to file down enough.... making it difficult for my dog to stay still for that long.
My puppy doesn’t like her nails being done. She fights so hard, even at the vet lol. I feel that noise scares her. When she got home from the vet I decided to try this grinder. It wasn’t super loud so she didn’t freak out. I could easily trim her nails and it was quick. The grinder doesn’t take a lot off at one time so I don’t have to worry about going to the quick and hurting her. This grinder was so much better than I expected. It being rechargeable helps a lot too so I don’t have to sit by a plug.
It is hard to choose which nail grinder is going to be the best choice with so many different options. You sometimes can't help but think that just because it costs more, that it'll work better. After some searching, I decided to go with this one because it was reasonably priced and had most of the same features as of those that were more expensive. I have a dog that for the last 2 years has very reluctantly let me clip her claws, sometimes with slight success meaning I am able to get maybe half of the front nails before she or I give up, and sometimes no nails at all to the point that she'd go a few weeks to a couple months before her next nail trimming. It’s always be at that point when her nails were so long that I would finally have no other choice but to decide to take her and she hates going to get her nails trimmed. This nail grinder is very easy to use. I find that the top part of the grinder work best for me and her. I lay her on her back or side and I just hold the nail in between my fingers and just press lightly down on the grinder and you just watch the magic happen. I can grind it all the way close to the quick without the fear of going too far or her jerking last minute that i have to just pass over that nail to the next. This one i can go from one nail to the next and grind out down to where i need. The sound is quiet enough that it doesn't stress her out too much with the help of peanut butter in a kong held by my husband to keep her distracted. It doesn't take long before all the nails are looking fantastic and she even let's me go back in for a touch up. Istill break it up into two sessions for front and back nails but very satisfying knowing that I have finally found something that has eliminated that worry I always had in the back of my mind. Very good grinder. Definitely recommend to anyone with super anxious dogs
It was always difficult trying to clip my dog's nails. This makes it much easier. It's not super loud, the light is helpful, and the lowest speed is enough to quickly file down my small dog's nails.
My dog was a little scared of this at first but he slowly came around. It was easy to use once I got the hang of it. Having the guard on it made me feel more confident that I wasn’t going to hurt my dog. The led light was a nice helpful feature also.
