This liner is compatible with Cat Mate’s Lockable Cat Flap, Lockable Cat Flap/Door with Door Liner, 4-Way Locking Cat Flap, 4-Way Locking Cat Flap with Door Liner, and 4-Way Locking Cat Flap with Door Liner.
Can the Cat Mate Wall Liner be used alone, without a cat door/flap, as a portal from one room to another? I want my cats to have access to two bedrooms and don't need cat flap to close them out.

The wall liner is not designed to be used without attaching it to the Cat Mate Lockable Cat Flap/Door with Door Liner or Cat Mate 4-Way Locking Cat Flap with Door Liner.
How many of these will I need for a 4” wall if I buy the cat door with the liner?

If the thickness of the wall is 2 - 4 inches you will need 1 Cat Mate Wall Liner. If the thickness of the wall is 4 - 6 inches you will need 2 Cat Mate Wall Liners.
Is this wall liner compatible with Cat Mate Large Cat Flap 221W? If not which item is?

Cat Mate do not currently produce a wall liner for the 221W, 221B, or 221WD. In the installation guide they do have instructions for using plywood or other rigid building material to create a frame within the wall to attach the door directly to, as this provides a sturdier installation that is better suited for use by larger cats and small dogs.

Do not need

After receiving this item along with the cat door, we discovered the cat door is too small. I purchased 2 doors and was able to give one away. this wall liner is not needed. I am looking for a way to return it.

Cat door extension for extra thick walls.

These are a must if you are dealing with an extra thick wall. My wall was approximately 8 inches thick and they worked perfectly. They locked together securely and seem to be of good quality and reasonably priced.

Bought them again

I used them to convert a deck storage container into a cat house. My strays love it. Then two more strays had been coming around stealing their home so I made another home for them.

  • One on each end.
  • It bridges the span of the doors because of the extra thick insulation.

Oops Wrong one

Wrong liner for our Micro chip door. Found this out after We received the new door. Could not find the correct liner to fit.

Not as marketed on the site

I was purchasing The cat-mate-large-catsmall-dog-4-way .... and when I was purchasing that item chewy suggested this item. However, the door I bought has a liner and this liner is too small for that door anyway... so their algorithms need to get better at their job and not suggest things that really don't go together.

I bought this thinking it would work with the CatMate Large Cat Flap, ref: 221 W. It did not.

I cannot use

I really cannot rate this item or the kitty door I purchased to go with it. It is going to be too small for the larger cats. I do not suggest this size if you have large cats. I care for a lot of kitties and I do not even know what is normal any more but there are some 20 pound cats that are too wide for the door that goes with this extension item and also, I purchased this extension item because I could not tell if one came with the door it goes to but one did arrive with the actual door and I was not going to be able to use this one, even if the actual door would fit the cats.

kitty tunnel

The three segments required to fit thru my thick wall to our garage fit perfectly. I especially appreciated the scribing lines so I could make a square cut with my hacksaw. The tunnel made a very professional installation with the Cat Mate pet door I also ordered.
