My cats have a new attitudes of happiness. The cats are hunting together outside and getting along in the house with this new freedom of movement. It took about 2 days for 1 to figure it out, however the old girl uses it just as much. They are in the backyard at 1:00 am when I check on them. The cat door allows them to go out at night and be cats. You can see the calming effect this new freedom has given them. I love it

strong magnet = confused cats

My cats are adults but previously had a "kitty corner" so this is their first real cat door with a flap. The magnet on this is STRONG, which might be great for experienced

My cats are adults but previously had a "kitty corner" so this is their first real cat door with a flap. The magnet on this is STRONG, which might be great for experienced cats and exterior doors, but we're having a tough time with training since the cats aren't willing to apply enough force with their heads. Right now, I have the door flap taped up on one side to be open between training sessions, but I may need to explore replacements. Installation was easy with a jig saw and screwdriver. The frame screw into the door on both sides and then has nice caps to hide the ends.

The primary reason for getting it was to keep the coyotes from getting the barn kitty. We installed it in the tack room door between the barn. Works great.!
