This cat door has worked out really well for us, with the small exception that occasionally in his comings and goings, our cat managed to bump the lock switches, locking the door open in only one direction. I stuck a bit of sticky tack on each of the four switches and that’s solved the issue for us. (Our cat is a year old and uninterested in sampling the tack. You know your cat and whether this is an option for you).

Pet door

Went in easily. The only thing , for the template I wish o knew there was a wide side . I put it in sideways but made it work anyway and still looks right.

It’s been several months since we installed this door. Our cat has go e through the door only when I put a piece of stick to hold the door slightly to encourage her to go. She doesn’t think she can push the door herself to open it. I wish the magnet is less strong to hold the door.

My cats all use this and it is pretty good and preventing heat or air loss. My tiny fosters are not able to open it but by about 3 months old they can. It is in a window that I had a frame built and then caulked. It leads out to an enclosed catio

Good size for a 14 lb cat

You can lock the door so it’s locked both in and out or just one way or unlocked both ways. We had it installed in plexiglass and installed in a window.

Great door but not quiet

I really like the door and it was easy to install but it is definitely not a quiet shut.

Great pet doo

I have used these several times. They are really good. I would prefer if they made them without the locking feature and with a drop down slider that shuts off door

I have used these several times. They are really good. I would prefer if they made them without the locking feature and with a drop down slider that shuts off door so cats understand when they see there is no clear plastic that they can't use the door. I find it rather cruel to lock and they can see out plus I think it's a hazard that they could run to get in and not be able to... bad design in that regard. So I never use the locks.

Ability to get the correct wall adapter

Other outlets had ambiguous listings for adapting a door-mounted unit to a wall-mounted one. Chewy's listing provided the number for the correct adapter to fit.

I got this for my cats before I got a dog so they could acclimate to each other at their own pace, have their own space. I was laying in bed, asleep, when some frantic door noises woke me up. I got up and my cat had caught her paw in the pet door and somehow activated the lock so she was stuck. I unlocked it and freed her paw. She seems unharmed but what if she had been caught when I wasn’t home and who knows how long she was trapped before she woke me up? I broke the flap off because I’m not risking my cat getting stuck and possibly hurt again.
