Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Put 2 to 3 inches of litter into a clean litter box. Scoop out the litter waste as needed. Replace the scooped - out waste to maintain a depth of 2 to 3 inches.
Fill 1/2 depth with Catalyst litter, Cap with 1/2 depth of your previous litter. As your cat is more comfortable, transition to 3/4 to 1/4 Catalyst to previous Litter. Finally, Transition to 100% Catalyst Litter.
This litter is not there yet. I’ve never had such an insane amount of dust from a litter ever before, it covered everything in a thick coat of dust. It forms ok clumps but not the best. The only redeeming qualities are that it is lightweight and it has decent odor control for a natural litter. It tracks everywhere and sticks to kitty, clothes, carpet, everything! My cat started having upper respiratory issues (which she never had before) after only 3 days using only catalyst… and I did too! We had to throw it out, the entire bag, what a waste! I hope they can improve because I want to love it, I love the message but I just don’t believe it is safe for ANY cats or people at this current point in time.
My cats hate it. I put it in one of my 3 cat boxes and the cats avoided it and went back to the clay boxes. I tried mixing it with the clay litter -- it didn't help. It smells nice, but there are little pieces of wood all over the house. It's difficult to sweep up, so I have to vacuum it up. Going back to clay litter.
It definitely helps with the smell and clumps well * as long as you keep on top of it like most clumping litters* if you don’t scoop at least every other day eventually the clumps will not hold. My cat is good with it and I like that it’s natural.
I was really hoping I would love this because I’m a big environmentally friendly person. This stuff tracks everywhere though on my domestic long hair cat. It clumps nice and the odor is nothing. But I hate finding saw dust everywhere.
This tracks everywhere and when they step on their own stuff it sticks to their feet! My older cats have problems cleaning it off! Plus it’s everywhere! On the door, on the couch, on me!
I've been using this for a few weeks- the clumping is good, but every time my black cat leaves the litter box, he looks like a tuxedo cat and it's starting to build up in his leg fur.
Scooping out the items left behind isn't as great as other products I've used.
Not only this product it’s loaded with dust that leave tracks all over the place , Including on ymy cats paws , legs, face body etc ..that also made my cats sick she had a horrible allergic reaction to this thing , even I could not handle the amount of dust that was flying in the air when I try to take a cup out of the bag .The best natural litter box it’s the grass litter there is no other better than that, no dust at all and no side effects or allergic reactions. Plus it does the job amazing ! I will never try to change her litter again. (The only reason why I did , was because of the price ) but thinking about all the other benefits to the healthy of my cat and how much I will save in vet’s visit and medication it’s a win win ! Frisco natural unscented Grass litter !
Love this litter compared to the regular non environmentally friendly options like clay or silica. Very easy to clean and doesnt get stuck to my cat.
A few of our cats got into the habit of peeing on the dog's peepad, so I've been trying different litters to bring them back to the box. Dr Elsey's was the first I tried, and it worked! But it was so freaking heavy, and the clumps would cement to the box. I tried another clay based litter, but I really wanted to get back to a natural litter. Catalyst goes FAR. A 20 lb bag of Dr Elsey's filled one large litterbox. A 20 lb bag of Catalyst filled two large litterboxes with enough left in the bag to do top-ups. We're now past the 2 week mark for the first box I filled with catalyst, and it smells as good as the first day. (We have 7 cats and 4 extra large litterboxes.) Dr Elsey's lasted 4-5 days before it was pretty much done. I've also used World's Best for over 15 years and even with daily scooping we needed to change it out every week. Catalyst is THE BEST litter for your dollar. Oh, two of my cats are solid black, and I haven't seen any dusty paws from them yet. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the clumps are extremely soft. It's difficult to scoop and not have them fall apart. And since the litter is so light you really have to shake the scoop because it won't just sift itself. And unfortunately for me, one of the 7 cats doesn't like it and has resumed peeing on the peepad, so I may end up getting a litter that he likes and keeping the other boxes on Catalyst. But hey, 6/7 cats like it just fine!
