At first it was fine, we are about a month in and now there is a pool of water at the base all the time. I now put it in a quiche pan to hold the water. I'm looking for a new water fountain. I had used Pioneer fountains before and they worked well, I would recommend those. My problem is that the dog I have is a likely a short termer and I don't want to spend a lot of money. Pioneers are kind of pricey but I never had a leak problem.
The idea is great. Chewy was great. The first one worked great for a bit then it didn't work. Chewy replaced quickly. The second one is working but only have had a week or so. It does some to bubble up much higher than the first one. Maybe it will last! Sometimes it shots up pretty high!
I have used for years the larger 3L water bowls with the flower spout. Finally decided to retire them and try a new design. I chose this one because I have a cat with stomatitis and always want her to have fresh water and thought the steel top would be better for her. It took her several days to get use to it and only after I adjusted the water flow on the pump to its lowest speed. I think the bubbling movement was too much movement for my other cats even after adjusting the speed. Cleaning it is also a bit more of a challenge than the other designs as a thorough cleaning (to me) entails removing the plastic liner around the top, pulling apart the pump, etc. I like that it doesn't hold 3L of water - that's a lot if you have to move/carry the fountain to its location.
Incredibly disappointed to recieve the product and have a defective power source. I had already tossed the other water fountains I had because they gather a lot of dust and get grimy.
Fountain has to have a very specific amount of water in it or it won’t run at all, so when I come home from work every day it’s not running any water for my cat. And it’s extremely loud
I like that it was nice and heavy, but the water that bubbles up into the dish is very shallow and if left for just a day, has no water in it. I need to order a different fountain after just one month.
This is a defective water bowl with a pump that is too weak. It’s hard to know when to refill the water well because the pump is too weak to make it bubble even when the well is full. My particular one has cracked up the side from the water pressure when it is full so now water oozes out of the side and down the back. It’s useless. I bought it exactly three months ago. It’s not a very good product, I’m afraid. At least, buy a stronger pump if you get this water bowl. Good luck!
