Go with the flow and keep the water in your pet fountain fresh with the Triple Action filter from Catit. These filters are specifically designed for Catit's pet fountain, and work to remove bacteria and chlorine odors while filtering out debris—so your pets aren't served a side of dust, dirt or hair with their beverage. And they help to soften materials found in tap water, like magnesium and calcium, to help prevent urinary tract diseases and infections. So, your pal's water is always clean, tasty and safe to drink!
Designed to fit the [Catit Flower Pet Fountain] (https://www.chewy.com/dp/178051).
I've only used Catit brand filters, as the knockoffs don't last. When I moved to an area with hard water, I noticed the water in the fountain became cloudy quickly. Our city adds water softener to the city water supply, so I tried removing one of the tan softener bags from each filter before installing it in the fountain. It helps somewhat, but I finally ended up buying spring water at the store, because the city adds so much softener that the cats don't like it. That's not Catits fault; that's the city's fault. Catit still makes the best filters.
I have had this filter for years. It has attracted the youngest cats to drink. They drink way more water with the fountain than out of a dish. We have some who prefer the dish and some who prefer the fountain. This way all are happy. I clean the inside 2-3 times per month. I find the filter doesn’t get as funky and lasts the month. I have a baker’s dozen cats in my home since fostering kits for adoption. So the filtration really helps.
The first several batches of these filters worked just fine. The last two boxes of filters have had residue build up that makes it necessary to clean several times a month. Are they not as sturdy as earlier models? Is it charcoal that is building up? Insert eye roll here.
We mainly purchased these because so much dust, cat, and dog hair was getting into the water reservoir of the fountain and clogging things up. These work great to keep debris out and I'm sure the pets appreciate the better tasting water.
I'm not sure if it's my water or what, but when I go to change the filter every month, the water inside the fountain is somewhat cloudy. This used to not happen, so I'm not sure what to do about that. My cat still loves his fountain though, so I will keep using these filters.
All three cats I’ve had in the past few years have loved drinking from the water fountain. It does seem like the newer batches have been clogging up quicker, but considering this is the only option for filters for the fountain I have, it does the job and we are satisfied!
This fountain was fairly easy to assemble, although the directions were confusing. I had to look up videos on how to correctly assemble it as it did not work right away. My cats have not really used it yet, although I have seen attempts. Hopefully they will use it with time.
Since about a year ago I found the filters are not holding up very well. Need to change every week. Foaming and water over bubbling.
I was afraid that a drop in calories and the additional nutrients a senior dog would require would make senior food unpalatable for my none year-old. When we made the switch, she gobbled it up as usual. Great company!
I’ve changed the filter to my cat’s fountain every month and I as well use filtered water. Never had an issue for the many years I’ve used this product but I feel like as of late, they’ve been doing more harm than good. Within a few days of changing out the filter, it clogs and foams up. I’m currently running the fountain with no filter and changing out the water often, but this is ridiculous how one can go through the whole box of filters in less than 30 days.
