Are these safe if a dog accidentally gets a hold of it?

Answer by ChewyOct 27, 2025
It is not recommended for dogs, we would highly recommend supervised use only, and making sure the dog cannot access it unsupervised.

Already seeing improvements

i recently had to take my baby for his fvrcp shots and while there i mentioned to the vet that i had bought these sticks to treat my cats gingivitis, and she checked out his teeth and one side of his mouth is clean with no signs of gingivitis!! The vet said just because it is a stick that doesn’t fall apart, to just look out for signs of vomiting incase the cats are ingesting the stick or the stick isn’t working well with their tummy. it’s been over a week and there hasn’t been any vomiting whatsoever. 10/10 would buy again

My cats like them

My cats ran off with the raspberry topper, but keep the sticks by the bathroom mat where they play and lounge. It’s a staple.?

Great toy for batting and chewing

My boy kitten needed something to chew and he loves this thing as a toy and something to chew as well. It's great!

My cats were just not interested in this product.

My two cats just sniffed the product then walked away. Tried getting them to first play with the sticks, but that lasted a few seconds. Maybe catnip scent would

What a great idea!!!

My cats LOVE silvervine sticks but were constantly losing them under closet doors and furniture or into the floor air vents. These toys are exactly what we needed

My cats LOVE silvervine sticks but were constantly losing them under closet doors and furniture or into the floor air vents. These toys are exactly what we needed and all three cats love them!!! The silvervine fits tightly in the rubber raspberry, doesn't show any sign of falling out. The raspberry keeps the stick from rolling under things, props it up off the ground so the cat can get a hold of it more easily, and bounces and rolls oddly for batting around the floor. The catnip-crazy tabby is obsessed, pounced on them right away and has been happily gnawing on them for days! (The other two have taken their turns when they get a chance.) The toys come with plenty of refills so they should last a good long time. Definitely a great toy, especially for cats who already like catnip!

Cat approved

Bought the toy for the raspberry rubber chew. My cat loves to chew. This raspberry is perfect size for her to chew. She even can hold the stick herself to chew on

Tried it for a hard plastic chewer

I've got a 4yo adopted cat who loves chewing hard plastic. He wants to chew the feather and worm toys off the wand at the connection point when he catches them

I've got a 4yo adopted cat who loves chewing hard plastic. He wants to chew the feather and worm toys off the wand at the connection point when he catches them. Charging cables and zipper pulls all have one test chomp taken out of them. He likes the catmint sticks for a day, and doesn't care at all for the catnip chews. He loves these things, though! The ends of my shoelaces have so far been safe.

Not recommended for Kittens/Cats who will swallow pieces

Although my kitten loved this - he was able to break tiny pieces off and swallow them so I had to take it away. Not suitable for teething kittens.

Fun

My boys had a blast with them. I do need to renew the scent on occasion because I think they don't smell it very well after awhile.

Not for all cats

Kit had absolutely no interest in these. I'm sure she was just being finicky but no from us!
