Not sure how much it actually helps with dental hygiene, but my kitty absolutely loves chasing this thing around! We also have the Avocado-shaped one too--both great toys. The Pretzel did start to unravel after several months of intense play, but Fuzzy continues to love it nonetheless
I have a cat with pica that has chewed on inappropriate things including electrical cords plugged into the wall. I started looking for a chew toy not for a dog to get that need to chew out of him. I discovered this toy and it has worked! I still watch him around electrical cords but I'm not as worried about it as I used to be. On my last order, I got three of them to make sure I always have them on hand when one gets lost. It is that important in this house!
One of our cats chews everything. He has destroyed most of the toys we've had for years from other cats. I needed something to give him to occupy him and keep him away from other stuff (he has chewed raw pasta, pens, nail files, etc.). He has worked on this for about a week or so and while it no longer is very attractive, it is still holding together fairly well. I bought two because I honestly didn't think it would last long, but as I said, so far, so good.
We buy this toy regularly as my cat chews it up and will destroy it within a month. It's his absolute favorite chew toy.
Cats had no interest. Maybe because there was no catnip sense on this knot.
This pretzel came MUCH smaller than I expected it to be. Can't say my cat has shown much interest.
My cat uses these to self-soothe, so I have a lot of them. Probably a dozen floating around my apartment. She will chew them all here and there, and they hold up pretty well, although they hold onto slobber maybe a little too well. I do wish they came in packs of a few for some kind of deal. I just buy 2-5 at a time so that my cat takes her feelings out on these rather than my carpet.
The toy as cheap as it was not liked by my cat. My cat loves smelling catnip toys and playing with them. This one I could tell either was old, left in a package to long or had no catnip in it. The toy is more of a squished sewn up ball with no catnip in it.
Too small for a cat to play with. My purchase was a waste of money.
One of my cats loves to chew on things, I think it's sometimes connected to his anxiety. When he's feeling anxious, he goes to chew on this. We have multiple of this specific one around the house for his chewing needs. I also like that it helps clean his teeth, since he won't eat the cat dental treats. We've tried other netted cat toys like this (fish, banana, etc) and the pretzel shape is the only one he likes!
