When I received the bag of food - which I felt was very expensive - it was a lot smaller than I was expecting for the price is costs (which really.. that was my fault.) the thing I was really disappointed with was my dog, who has a great food motivation, didn't even like it! I took a video of me trying to feed it to him (which I don't think I can upload to this review.) my dog would just kind of put his nose up at this food and really isn't interested. He will eat it sometimes but honestly.. one of my cats liked it more than he did... Pretty disappointed and don't want to be that guy that complains but, I thought it was worth letting other people know.

My 70 lb goldendoodle has been enjoying this food. They are larger sized bits and quite firm/crunchy so I probably would not recommend this for smaller dogs or older dogs with damaged or missing teeth. My dog tends to be sensitive to foods with too much wheat so I have been using this just to add some variety to his regular sensitive stomach food, which he’s become kind of bored with. This does contain corn, wheat, and soybeans, so there are several ingredients that may be disagreeable to some dogs.

Chewy’s new Lamb & Brown Rice kibble has been a total game-changer in my house. My dog dove into the bowl like it was the best thing he’s ever tasted, no hesitation, no sniff test, nothing. Just straight to eating, which never happens with him because he is a picker eater. What I love most is how clean the ingredients are. You can actually understand what’s on the label, real lamb, brown rice, and no weird fillers. It smells fresher than most kibble, too. Since switching, I’ve noticed his coat looks shinier, his energy seems more stable throughout the day, and his digestion has been perfect. No upset stomach, no gas, no drama. Even my vet commented that his weight and coat look great. The kibble pieces aren’t too big or too hard, and it doesn’t leave that greasy residue some foods have. Plus, the price for the quality is honestly impressive. It feels like a premium food without the $100 price tag.

The “pieces” are large and I think she’s getting more even though it’s the same portion size. She probably doesn’t think that but since we are buying it, our vote is what counts. We think this is a great, healthy, reasonably priced option for our Stella.

I was pleasantly surprised by Chewy’s Lamb and brown rice kibble for dogs. It looks great and Carter just gobbled it down. Carter is a picky eater so I was very pleased about this. Carter has had some digestive problems and I was happy to see this contains prebiotic fibers to help support your dogs digestive tract. It also has added vitamins and minerals to support your pets immune system. The forty pound bag is also a great value for budget minded families. You should try Chewy’s Lamb and Brown Rice dog food for your pet and I bet you find a new favorite!

Decent Food for Good Price

First, I received a free bag through the Chewy Pawsibilities program, where they send you products for you to review. My dogs ate it fine, but my dogs are not picky

First, I received a free bag through the Chewy Pawsibilities program, where they send you products for you to review. My dogs ate it fine, but my dogs are not picky eaters. I would have liked if the kibble was a little smaller as my one dog gobbles his food down very fast, so barely chews it, even with a slow feeder. My main concern and what would most likely prevent me from purchasing, is the ingredient list. Though it does have a good protein as the first ingredient, the second is the brown rice. I like to see the first 3 ingredients to be protein (meat) based in the dog food I choose to feed my dogs. I typically try to stay away from fillers such as rice.

Didn't realize that Chewy would put corn and soy in their dry dog food to make it cheaper, for shame. Too many dogs are suffering from being fed garbage in food

My dog really likes this food. I was surprised by the size of the kibble (quite a bit larger than our usual kibble). No weird smells. I introduced it as a topper and use it for treats on walks. It does have chicken in it even though it’s lamb based so something to think about if you are trying to steer clear of poultry.

Chewy lamb and brown rice dry dog food was well received by all 3 of my dogs. The kibble pieces are large, they usually are fed small dog sized kibble, but they didn’t seem to mind the larger size. I fed them this for 3-4 days along with their usual moist food mixed in. After the fourth day one of my dogs started having stomach issues and very loose stools. I don’t know for sure if it was the change in dry food but I sent back to my regular brand and her issues resolved.
