My cat HATES, HATES, HATES this stuff. I thought I would try it for her, but I'm having to give it to the dogs. If I put this out for the cat, she makes my life a living hell.
I bought this food for years. However this last bag my cats dont want to eat and when they do eat if they throw up. What gives?
Almost immediately after I started my cats on this, one of them started itching and scratching and now he has little bumps all over his skin. He’s always been very healthy and not a picky eater at all but he hates this food. Compared to other brands, it looks and smells low quality and none of my cats will eat it unless it’s mixed with other food. Will not be getting this one again—I found Dr Gary’s all stages food to be a much better product and a better fit for my cats
Our critter used to love this but with the new bag she is refusing to even touch it. Which is highly unfortunate as now we have to find something else.
My cat, Glitch, is not what one would call a picky eater. He will normally eat anything you put in his dish. Imagine my surprise when he rejected this kibble emphatically! A normally voracious eater, he would only consume enough to stay alive. Despite mixing it progressively in with his old food, and trying it solo for two weeks, he never warmed up to it.
Since I started feeding my cats this food everyone has been vomiting and I did transition them to the change in diet. I have multiple cats so the clean up has been enormous!!! I've had cats all of my life and I've never seen this before.
It was easy to change our food to a "weight control" option. And it was delivered in a timely manner--thank you. But time will tell if it helps our porky little kitty lose some weight. We have three, and he's the only one who tends to gain weight. I'll report back in a few months!
We needed a low-calorie food for our cats that wasn't an expensive, prescription food. Turns out, a lot of "weight management" or "indoor" foods have as many calories per cup as any other food. This was one of the lightest foods we could find that wasn't prohibitively expensive or mostly made of ground corn.
They don’t get 5 stars cuz the cats are taking their time eating it.
My 12 year old loves this food. She for the first time doesn’t act like she’s starving even after she’s finished her bowl. Her poos are better she’s not gaining weight and she’s more playful. I like the amount of fiber and protein.
