It helps my boy
I've never had to put my pets on a diet before but we think my cat has a tendency to be overweight, even with his raw diet, so we put him on this and he has lost 2 pounds since I bought it and is looking a lot slender. When I have the time I'm going to need to re-calculate this raw feeding, but I don't mind having a canned food along as well. I can't believe what the reviews say, although I wish it was a different flavor besides fish because fish is not natural and it causes some animals upset stomachs. This has been working for my kitty. I'm going to look for something chicken based.
Won't touch
They sniff, and walk away. A couple of them make movements with their paws that suggest they are covering it up. This used to be good, but not anymore. Did they change the recepie?
Cats love substituted food
My cats had been eating Chicken Soup for the Soul, Pate, Chicken & Salmon recipe. At reorder time Chewy was out of this product so they substituted Ocean Fish, Chicken & Turkey recipe. My cats ate it like it was their favorite food.
Not so Great
My cat took a few bites and walked away. We tried again a few days later and same thing unfortunately .
My cats won't eat it
As I have 2 senior cats, who are overweight and Chewy was out of the regular brand I feed them, I tried this. We tried one can. They normally tear into their soft food ravenously but took one whiff and walked away. I let it sit there all day, figuring they would get hungry enough, but they didn't touch it. I donated the rest of the case to the local animal shelter.
Some cats eat, & other no
I picked this wet food because it contain low ash 2.3. Low ash is important for cats. One cat likes it, one will eat sometimes.
Not for my cat
Unfortunately, my cat was not one bit interested in eating this. Couldn't talk her into it no matter how long she had to wait with no other food alternative. Finally had to give up.
Finicky kitties
Unfortunately my 2 senior cats didnt like it. I have tried so many and thought this might be the one.
not as appealing as it sounds
I purchased this thinking it was a case of smaller cans; I didn't pay too much attention and received a case of full 5-6 ounce cans. Would have been fine if my cats like it but it just was not a good looking pate. Cats certainly didn't like it. I donated it to my friend who rescues and sterilizes alley cats. She's got a garage full of cats looking for barn homes. They might like it!
Cats say it's not bad!
It smells fishy but my cats say YES. As a pate can food, it does its job. Usually, the food is good or bad to them I'll know that very quick. You can tell "like" or "dislike" by looking on their plate :)
