Chuckit! Pro Launcher Dog Toy, Color Varies

We've purchased various Chuckit! standard size launchers in the past and they're great. I ordered this one not realizing you must purchase the larger balls to go with it. I just wanted to try a longer handle. This is my fault for not researching more carefully. Either way, we decided to keep it. It's more cumbersome to launch the ball since the handle is longer, the ball is bigger and heavier, and the texture of the handle is more cushiony at the base, but not as easy to get a grip on. Once my dog caught the ball, he'd busted it completely open upon grabbing it the first time. The generic size tennis balls we normally use with the standard Chucki! eventually experience the same thing, but We've purchased various Chuckit! standard size launchers in the past and they're great. It was useless after that point and since the special balls are impractical to replace so often, I can't understand how anyone would prefer this one. I'm a 50-something woman with a weak throwing arm, a bad shoulder, and a pit bull that requires a lot of exercise. I've used the launcher daily for 6 months with a Kong Extreme medium ball and it works great! Not only am I able to easily throw the ball 4-5 times farther with the launcher, I don't have to handle a slimy ball or repeatedly bend over to pick it up. This is by far the highlight of my dog's day, and I'm able to really tire him out without much effort or strain on my shoulder.

I was disappointed that this chuckit was bigger than my old old “large” chuckit. None of my balls fit. My real disappointment though was with the quality of the ball. It was like an extra large tennis ball. I threw the ball 3 times and then my son’s dog caught it and chewed it to pieces in no time.

Doesn't use tennis ball Don't buy it The company does this so you have to buy their balls. It's a total rip-off. I'll never buy anything from Chuck-IT again I suggest Chewy drop them as a vendor

We have many chuck it glow in the dark balls and launchers. This does not work with large balls. I have to order a XL launcher for the large balls, so the size is misleading. The large balls are getting stuck and my arm is sore from trying to launch balls to my dog. Oh well, this one goes in the trash.

Looks nice. Soft ball was chewed up in minutes. The bend of thrower makes it difficult to throw far, you have to jerk it to get distance while throwing. While tapping it on ground it actually broke. Do not buy this thrower!

I typically love Chuckit products, however this was not worth the price. The ball literally separated into 2 pieces inside the covering the first day we played with it. The launcher is fine, but useless without the ball. Ball was very poor quality. Disappointed!!

I ordered this for my Weimy "Blu". We got it today, 10/20/20. I had thought I was getting the "ultra durable" hard rubber ball with the throwing stick, but got the "tennis ball" version instead. Even so, he's a weimaraner, not a pit bull, I expected the chuckit tennis ball to last a good while. It was fairly stiff, felt heavy duty. NOT!!! I gave it to him, he broke the glue or whatever they use under the fabric cover to hold the 2 halves together within 5 minutes of play, literally. Extremely disappointed, I will be returning this item.

I decided to upgrade to the Pro Launcher 25M and was very happy with the distance I was able to throw the ball! Now I don’t need to throw the ball as many times to tire out my blue heeler!

I have no idea how I managed fetching my cattle dog for hours on end without this wonderful and simple device. The ball that comes with it is just like a tennis ball, same weight and slightly fuzzy surface. The Pro Launcher does exactly that - it can make anyone look like a pro ball-thrower because with just a flick of the wrist you can send the ball flying amazing distances. The other great thing about the launcher is that when your dog drops the ball for you to throw again (well if she decides to drop it) you can just press the launcher down on the ball and it's ready to throw again. No more back aches, woo!
