Hard to Install at First, but it’s a Great Product
I love the Coolaroo dog bed! had a large Coolaroo from almost 10 years ago that we still use on our Labrador, but I wanted to get two additional ones for the other dogs. The quality is still the same as it was 10 years ago. It is sturdy, priced well, and long-lasting. I love that it can be used indoors and outdoors, and it is awesome that they sell replacement covers. However, it is difficult to assemble. I bought two of these beds; one medium and one small. The first bed took me an hour to set up, but the second only took me 25 minutes. What I figured out was, even if the screw feels tight and won’t budge, just keep screwing it in, and DON’T use your fingers to screw it in because it won’t work. After that, it is a piece of cake. On the other hand, if you’re elderly or don’t have much strength, I don’t recommend buying this bed because of assembly.
Definitely recommend.
We got this bed because our pup Margot is big and has lots of fur, so she gets hot easily! She LOVES her bed and often chooses to be on it instead of the couch or bed. We also use it as “place” per instruction of our trainer. We are planning on buying additional beds eventually to have one for the yard, bedroom, and for travel as well! Then we can stop moving it around. It was quick to put together and easy (went a little smoother with an additional set of hands). No complaints here!
Difficult assembly
Perfect size for my 40lb collie/lab. I think she'll really enjoy using it. However, this product was not manufactured that well. The bars and the cover are extremely tight, it was nearly impossible to finish putting it together. I almost thought it wouldn't work. Thankfully the final screw threaded in after I got some help. Great for the dog, but be prepared to need an extra set of hands to put it together.
Great for Old Dogs
This raised bed is very sturdy and easily holds the weight of my 80lb Shepeard. I put his bed on it for winter use and he just walked around it for a day but gave up and climbed in to sleep that night. It gives the bed a cushioning effect and also helps him get up and moving more easily than when he had to raise himself off of the floor. I do wonder if he will like the slightly scratchy surface when I take the furry bed off in summer to keep him cool.

Fast shipping, (as usual) Excellent customer service (as usual) This dog bed was pretty easy to assemble, even for me and I'm not very "handy." However, do not get this in extra large unless your dog is Extra Large! Or if you have several dogs who like to snuggle! I went for this extra large because the large wasn't quite big enough for my 115 pound mixed breed. He could curl up on the large but couldn't stretch out. This new bed is Huge!!! He is going to love it, but I'm waiting until he gets his long nails trimmed, just in case. The other one lasted 9 years before starting to RIP along one of the seams. I just hope this new one is as durable! (Lol! This is hilarious! I tried to share a picture of my big, beautiful boy, but it says the photo is too large! Haha!
Save yourself the headache buy a different one
I just spent 30 min trying to put this together. Even watched the video. The arms are too long for this bed. There’s no other explanation. I have a K&H elevated bed and a Frisco elevated cot and they were not hard to assemble, this is impossible.
Destroyed bed
The dogs loved their bed for one night and it held two large dogs well. However, there is a brand tag sewn onto the corner of the bed. Our dogs could not leave it alone. The bed was ripped to shreds in 36 hours. Product designers- please remove that tag!? Our dogs do not care what brands we buy.
Saggy Hammock Bed
I bought the extra large for my 70 lb large dog hoping it would help her as she is aging. I had to put her old bed underneath to hold it up because it's too flimsy and it's not too easy to get off of. It was very inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for.
Nice Dog Bed
This is a very nice bed. My dogs like it and will go on it willingly. My major problem with it is that it is hard to assemble. The mesh is not stretchy and getting the last screw started was a real challenge. I ended up needing a second person to turn the screw while I neld things in place. It said to leave the first 3 screws loose until the last screw was started. I did this and it was still hard. Once I got past that I have a wonderful dog bed.
Bed was great, assembly was terrible
The bed itself is great! But the assembly was awful. I tried to watch a video on how to put it together because I thought I was doing it wrong. Nope just extremely difficult to get the 3rd and 4th screws in. Definitely could have used a second pair of hands. I had it in a hundred different positions to try and get it myself and I did finally get it. The second bed was slightly easier, but still really difficult.
