I want to love this and give it 5 stars. If I would have saved the Chewy box, I would return it and get something else. Pros: Very Fast Shipping and Affordable. The vinyl part is fine. Cons: The steel legs are not good quality. The grooved pieces don’t sit flush to their connection points. This should have taken 10 minutes maximum to assemble. One of of the straight legs, the screw just spins loose. It’s like the hole is too big. So it makes the entire bed unstable. To look around for a wider screw might help, but I don’t want to go to that work. I bought this because I’ve made a hefty investment with a trainer. A raised bed is recommended as part of her training. She’s only 8 pounds currently. I am not sure if we will even use this since the one leg won’t connect tightly. The first time it gives way, she’s going to be freaked out and it will take away from training process. I love Chewy. But I do not love this item.
I have two dogs so I bought two of them and they’re always been crate trained and I wanted to get rid of the kennel at night so I bought these. I honestly did not have high hopes for this product but my dogs absolutely love it ! . I dont have to fight with them to get them to go to bed or to relax on it . The price on these is great for the quality, very sturdy and light weight making it easy to clean . My dogs are 20lbs and 40lbs and the beds didn’t even wobble or stretch . I got two of the medium sizes and one is big enough for the both of them . I highly recommend this bed .
The bed just got delivered today. Assembly was easy with the help of the instruction that came with it. They even provided a tip on how to get the last bolt in which really made it easy. After assembly I placed a Cot Pad for even more comfort for my dog and he loves it. Sturdy enough to support my 105lbs German Shepherd Mix.
Lola absolutely loved this bed and so did I. She loves being outside on warm days and sunning, but since it's cold and rainy where we live right now, she gets her fur wet and sometimes muddy when she lays down. With the bed being off the ground, she enjoys lounging on it and I get to enjoy not having to clean her off every time she comes inside.
#ChewyTeamRated I have been looking at a bed like this for years. My dog loves sunbathing so I knew this would be perfect for her! It was quite easy to put the bed together myself and set it up. I'm ready for springtime so she can soak up the sun all she wants!
Even with everything tightened a LOT, it is still very wobbly and feels like it will fall apart. It hasn't, which is good, and I can tell you that even though we got it for a 70lb dog, it can handle a 150lb pig. LOL.
Originally bought this for my childlike bullmastiff, but not to my surprise he is terrified of it. lol HOWEVER, my distinguished and mature Boston is obsessed with it and has only removed himself from it long enough to go to the bathroom. Highly recommend
Dogs managed to break it rough housing on it. The bars did not line up which caused a screws not to be flush plus my beagle and small heeler mix liked to play on it together which did not help.
The “special” instructions for step 3 are telltale that it’s horrible design. This is not a project for someone with tendonitis. 3-legged bed is not the expected result. #frustrated
I have purchased in the past elevated beds for my dogs that were made of plastic, however they did not last long. So I purchased this one and am quite pleased with it. Metal stands is the way to go! My Weimaraner I have is up in age and it makes it much easier for him to get in and out of his pillow dog bed that lays on the top of this and its sturdier for him too. I got the large size in the elevated bed. I thought it was at a reasonable price and I'm so glad I got this for him.
